I don't understand what everyone is upset about.

McGrady sucks! It annoys me everytime I see him grimace in pain for half the game after he gets his foot stepped on or he gets a hangnail. The guy is soft as charmin! He gets shut down if his defender gets physical... its been proven already.

This is a dude who complains that he's getting older and has so many miles on his body. Why is it that Kobe can get better and better year after year, and he's a year older than TMAC. Garnett is two years older and just won DPY!

We will never win with McGrady. He is not a dominant force.

Neither of them have back problems. And Garnett if you ask me, is starting to decline as well.

Kobe never had to put teams on his shoulders like Tmac had to until recently. Check their usage ratings for that.

I don't wanna make excuses for Tmac, but please, be more objective before you start hating won't ya.

 

Eventually, someone at the Chronic will ask Tracy to clarify what he supposedly did or did not say.

 

You make that trade and you gotta make up for T-Mac's scoring and assists that he puts up in an efficient manner. I say they gotta give us Billups and Hamilton and forget Tayshaun. Pistons would never agree to giving us both Billups and Hamilton though.

maybe you should check Garnett's record while carrying the t-wolves Mr. Know it all. I'm sure anyone not named Kobe or Lebron could take 2 rookies and take them to 55 wins in the most competitive conference in the history of the game. Saying, "He sucks," is a pretty stupid statement showing you have great dislike for the guy not relating to his game. We all know T-MAC does not suck so your statement is considered invalid.

This team settling for jump shots is older than hell.

I want a halfway decent shooter as well but we need a penetrator more than anything on this team.

STOP JAKING UP 20 footers and take the ball two feet from the rim.....its simple math and probability and it separates the men from the boys in this league.

Tracy is inconsistent at it and when he does it regularly, we have to watch him make these pained faces that Kobe and others just shake off, its older than hell too.

The 22 game streak was definitely magical, but why is it so far out of the scope of reality to think that the same team can do even something more magical with a year of growth under Adelman.

I think a lot of fans are "impulse buyers". Meaning we don't have the hottest most popular names so we can't POSSIBLY be contenders with this group.

Tmac knows this group better than any of us, and I doubt seriously he said, "OH yeah definitely send me to Detroit where they will have to send at least two of their best players back and leave me with the scraps there in order to make the deal"

He knows what this team can do. Is he frustrated with the first round losses? Of course he is. Does he believe that we can win with this group? Probably not, but I think he has faith in Morey to get the pieces.

Lord knows we tried with Mike James and Francis last season. They didn't pan out. The year before that it was Bonzi who was going to put us over the top. That didn't pan out. The year before that it was Stromile Swift and Derek Anderson who was going to help the Rockets.

I just think it has been a matter of being unlucky (or maybe un-educated) in the past to get things done.

The moves have been in the right direction the last year and a half.

Winning 22 games isn't a fluke. The team played above their heads after Yao went down, but that doesn't mean they can't do that again. To peak at the right time and be healthy at the right time.

Until I hear an official Tmac is traded, or hear "I want to go to Detroit" straight from the "horse's mouth" so to speak. I won't believe that Tmac is going anywhere until his contract is up.

if he gets shut down by tough defense, why does he always play well against ron artest and bruce bowen (the best defenders there are ). and utah is proclaimed as the most physical team and he usually plays well against them .

If we are judging players and teams by regular season performance, then Karl Malone and the Jazz is the best player and team of the past 30 years.

Quit making excuses for McGrady. I understand the homerism, but get back to reality. We would be LUCKY if the Pistons are dumb enough to trade Rip and Billups for him.

 

um, i think dumars offered the same thing to us they offered to denver for carmelo (billups + prince). those are 2 all-star caliber players.

 

22 in a row was special and should stand alone as a separate achievement, it isn't evidence of something positive or negative, its special. The bigger issue i see is that they have to play at their "peak" to hang with the good teams. That's the problem. That's why they've been getting beat in the 1st round because other teams then match their intensity.

 

Miami needs a backup PG and probably free up money in the future because they are pretty cheap

why are you posting trades that have ZERO chance of happening? dumars has said a thousand times rip is off-limits. he's only offering billups + prince + something else minor for tmac (and morey already said he knows what the offer is from the chronicle).

and why do you want to get marion when billups already has a big contract remaining and marion wants a big contract too? that makes no sense.

 

Why are we wasting our time listening to SAS's hearsay? Dumars is stupid if he thinks Billups and Tayshaun are enough to sway the organization in trading McGrady. It ain't happening.

This rumor has been going on all summer and I'm getting tired of it. Detroit media needs to move on and Dumars too for that matter cause they're starting to come off as desperate.
