i'm sure tracy wouldn't say no to a trade to detroit b/c let's face it, getting out of the first round would be a piece of cake for him with that team in the east. and outside of boston, i dont' see any team as a threat to detroit if the trade goes down.

but at the end of the day, tracy also said he's happy in houston.

He didn't twist anything and he didn't make it seem like T-mac wanted to be traded. It's really not that hard to figure out the whole thing.

Some gut feeling inside me says Toronto will be good...

Unless we get Rip+Billups this trade would be bad for us. Hamilton is the kind of spot up shooter we need, billups is uhh...well old but he would serve us well for 2 yrs.

    Bargnani
    Calderon
    Bosh
    O' Neal
    Delfino

don't know the rest of their roster but it seems pretty ok...

Well considering we don't know the full convo he might didn't twist anything. T-mac can be interested in playing for Detroit if they traded for him and still be happy in Houston all while thinking he can win in both spots. :D

If we were to trade T-Mac, I prefer it to be to Chicago, so we could get some younger players.

    Kirk Hinrich+Ben Gorden

TMAC for two players with deep experience in the playoffs is just what Yao needs

Billups has same amount of years but with college...and is just as fearless and with a killer instinct

Prince is so versatile that he makes up for some of the SF intangibles that we lose and shooting in dealing TMAC as a versatile SG

That back court could not do crap last year. For it to even Be intresting it would have to be Deng and Hinrich and a unprotected first round pick, but even that is trash when you factor in the true value of tmac.

so JVG and adelman with championship experience didn't help yao? dude, yao is a 7yr veteran. he's played in enough playoff games to know there is a higher level of pressure. and he's been tutored by patrick and deke, who both played in the finals.

Tracy didn't just say he was happy in Houston, he said he was VERY happy.

    Big difference.

Of course he wants to win, and he'd probably be willing to do a trade where he felt he had a better opportunity to do that. But, he doesn't sound like he's angling in that direction.

He's saying all the right things, and I'm sure that if Houston is considering a trade, he's very much in the loop.

Sometimes, a change or fresh start with different players can work out better for both sides, and it wouldn't surprise me if everyone is looking realistically at that, since its been 4 years, without getting out of the first round.

Morey will not trade his impact player, especially when 2010 is around the corner. He can entertain all the trade offers he wants, but unless he gets another impact player or knows the free agents of 2010 will sign elsewhere he will stay put. Morey will tweak the bench but that is as far as he will go.

This team can win BIG, they just need to be healthy down the strech. Of course having a 3rd scorer option would be great, but to get that he might have to take on another terrible contract. I think Morey would rather rely on these players, Battier, Alston, Scola, Landry, or Barry, to assist Tmac and Yao as a 3rd scorer.

Novak, Head, and B. Jackson are all trade bait. They'll be traded for solidifying the bench even more or future draft picks.

i would cry if we ever traded tmac. i know all of his flaws, every one here is constantly pointing them out. but i also know what he can do and i respect him for that.

I don't get this...what made him so much better in his first year in Houston? Statistically that was his worst year in the "clutch" (according to 82games), and while his scoring was better, his passing wasn't. He is now able to control a game and its tempo through his ballhandling and playmaking. In 2004-2005 he was able to do that when he got hot scoring the ball, but otherwise he didn't make the kind of impact he does today on a consistent basis.

He wants to win? WTH? Then why he never get his team past the first round? Who's been preventing him from doing that in the last 10 years.

We will trade him for Rip and Prince in a heartbeat.

I think he just wants a little more help than what we have for him right now. Do y'all honestly think that Kobe or Lebron in Tmac's situation last year would have guided this team past a deep Jazz team in the first round? The guy wants to win and that's a great thing to hear. In fact I love the fact that he wants to win. He's not saying he hates being in the city of Houston or has issues with the Rockets management like he did in Orlando. But He is saying he wants to win, which is probably his request for some changes and if it can not be done here then he is ok with the notion of being traded to another organization that can. Now I truly hope we give him that chance here. I want the see the Rockets organization be dedicated to winning like they were the years leading torwards the Championship years. Let's get him reliable PG's that are consistent and that aren't streaky or not NBA ready rookies, like the trio of Raefer, Bobby Jackson and Aaron brooks. Let's get him a reliable back up so he and battier can get rest time during the regular season. Let's make sure Yao is well rested and healthy for the playoffs. If Mutumbo can't help Yao out from start to finish then let's start shopping around. It's been four years yes. He's guided us to the playoffs in a tough western conference i believe 3 out of the four years he's been here. The first season our boys ran out of gas. The second season... injuries... the third season we went against a jazz team that is just straight up DEEP and we had nothing but Yao and Mac that showed up. The last season we went against a stronger Jazz team but with a worn out Battier, two rookies at pf in Scola and Landry, Mutumbo who is just ancient, Alston who was injured, Head who just can't do anything in the playoffs and is streaky enough during the regular season, and do I have to say anything about relying on Aaaron brooks and Bobby Jackson at pg. Don't forget we were also without Yao. The man has somewhat of a point. We need to get him some help.
Kobe didn't get that confidence until he got Gasol. Bynum was healthier and improved with another year under his belt.. he got at least one reliable pg in fisher back... Heck now the Lakers are trying to trade Odom for a player that is more reliable like Artest... That is just scary...
Now why aren't the Rockets doing the same thing for Mcgrady? Get rid of our streaky players and bring in players that are just darn reliable... Professional role players that will show up night after night after night.....
When we do that and he remotely notions the request for a trade... then I'll help him pack.
