If it's anything like Wade's child custody battle, or the death of a close family member. Or anything of that magnitude; it's understandable. These guys aren't infallible, no matter now much money they make.

Its stupid how the hate for LeBron is blown up to so high proportions that whatever personal issues aside criticisms are aplenty for LeBron.

What the hell? Has he ever had mental toughness issues before? Dude. Delonte West banged his mom. That's something that's shocking and horrifying. I'm surprised LeBron had the mental fortitude to not shoot and kill Delonte; I certainly would have beat the living crap out of him to the point of death.

Real life personal issues will ALWAYS effect how anyone plays on court. Lack of mental toughness would be like Chris Bosh getting "nervous" because of the high-pressure situations. LeBron has never been afraid to take (and miss) clutch shots at late game stretches.

Jesus. It's sickening to see Dirk love and LeBron hate on this board. It should be the other way around.

Pretty sure it was before. The reason why MJ was so emotional when he won.

    This is probably what happened:

    *Screamin' A. b**** calls LeBron*
Smith: Hey BronBron, why you suckin' so much in the finals?
Bron: Hey, I'm just going through some tough **** right now man; hey but keep it on the down low I don't want this thing getting blown out of proportions like that West incident.
Smith: Alright Bron, can you at least tell me what it is?
    Bron: No.
Smith: Alright Bron, I love you baby.
*Screamin' A. b**** posts on blog that LeBron is going through some very, VERY tough personal issues in a vain attempt to get the American public to sympathize with Bron.*

MJ was emotional when he won on father's day in a later series.

The REAL truth about this personal reason is known to only one person: Lebron himself. If it is a serious, serious matter then it is understandable why one would not have the expected focus to perform well.

OTOH, is it just coincidence that this "news" brought by Steven Smith came out a day after Lebron was essentially murdered in the media? In other words, is it beyond the realm of possibility that he concocted a personal issue to deflect the national criticism over his poor play thus far?

As they say, we will see in the fullness of time.

Is there actually a bunch of Dirk love on this board? Can't see why. He plays for the anti-Christ (that could be Mark Cuban or the city of Dallas, take your pick).

I'm'a have to look for this Dirk-love. Maybe I'm ignoring it, just doesn't seem that way to me.

But since you bring it up, Dirk's been playing lights-out. LeBron should be playing better than he has. Dirk has the same tendency as Wade, complaining to the officials all game. LeBron doesn't complain so much as simply put on a big can-you-believe-they-called-that-a-foul smile on his face.

If LeBron gets any hate, sorry, he brought it on himself. LeBron humiliated Cleveland and its fans with an I-love-me TV special to announce his intentions to go to Miami. Then all that fireworks spectacle B.S. when the three Super Friends were first shown off together at their arena to their "fans" (most of whom probably care less about basketball). Dude lives in a bubble, blinded by the flash of the cameras.

Top all that off with a decidedly small showing in the Finals, JUST LIKE the way he quit on Cleveland in last year's playoffs. Why the HELL would the best NBA player on the planet make himself a role player, anyway?

Dirk? Whines too much on the court, maybe, even though he sometimes gets treated like the blond Jesus. But these playoffs, he's earned my grudging respect. And I hate, hate, HATE to respect ANYthing about the Mavericks.

LeBron? Has earned my grudging disrespect. If he comes back and kills it tonight, then I'll be glad to watch a great game.
