Wouldn't it be best to just not say anything at all if he's got "personal" issues that you're not going to report on? SAS is and always will be a bag of hot air.

Im calling BS on that one.... If its "none of our business" why would Stephen A even bring it up? What a douche.

-maybe we just all need to calm down and accept that Lebron is not Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, or Magic Johnson... he is Lebron James... he is accepted himself as a partial role player/quality starter on a contending team and he didnt score much one game... big freakin deal.

Will LeBron ever learn mental toughness? When I think of the all-time greats, they all had it. He's not even close.

I don't think its BS at all. SAS has the upper hand because of his connection with Maverick Carter(hence calling the big 3 before everyone else).

He is just protecting LBJ privacy so it doesn't linger in the next game. I think its the right thing to do by not disclosing the info for the world to hear.

    This.

I work at a hospital in Vegas. Unless Lebron has family issues equal to the severity of some of my patients's health, then he must man up.

I have no problem with him not reporting the details...in that case, it seems more professional to not report it at all.

I hope that the personal problems are actually something significant and not just being thrown out there as an excuse.

I agree with you all the way. He shouldn't have said nothing at al, but this is SAS, when did he ever kept his mouth shut? He was the first to break out the "big 3" and is no different in this situation.

Breaking out the Big 3 is a journalist doing his job. Reporting on player movement is him getting a scoop and running with it. That's a credit to him, frankly.

    This is different from that.

Well, "personal issues" is better than what entered my so-called brain: that gamblers paid him off to throw the game (not the series). NO, I DON'T BELIEVE THIS. It's just that LeBron played so inexplicably poorly that you can't help but think of the most sensationalistic possibilities.

As far as personal issues, Mike Miller's newborn baby has had difficulties, and Miller's pretty much played to his abilities. Not that Miller has as much riding on his shoulders, team-wise, fame-wise, if-they-lose-it's-his-fault-wise, as does LeBron, but still; could what LeBron's dealing with be worse than touch-and-go health issues with a child?

Anyway, here's hoping LeBron plays better next game. I can't stand him, but I want to watch a good series. After the draft, we might not have the NBA for awhile.

To each his own opinion but I have to strongly disagree. The jerkhead should have kept his trap shut or just said whatever it was. To state LeBron has a personal issue big enough to cause his poor play and then say the specifics are "none of our business" is pathetic "reporting" as you call it. If it's nobody's business, just shut up! (I say to SAS). Since LeBron is a "big boy", tell us what it is.
