    JVG's coaching track record definitely affirms that he doesn't like appeasement as any kind of a strategy. LOL

    The whole McGrady's last-years-in-Houston scenario would have played out much differently under him.

    While he's mostly right, I think he should also recognize that Stan dug his grave when he told the media that he knew from management that Dwight wanted him fired. I had predicted then that he'd be fired within a week, but it turned out Orlando isn't as smart as me. It would be an additional embarassment to the team to have Stan keep his job after that.

    Heck, when he was coach, Stern Corleone fined him $100K for telling him the truth and must have somehow threatened his job. I still recall how chastened JVG looked after the fine came down. It couldn't have just been the money.
