With Robert Covington playing some ball, why not trade Jeremy if you can. Covington would be the more ideal 6th man.

Booble head nights have been planned since the beginning of the year. They space them out and put up the event schedule on the website.

    This means nothing

Forget Tim hardaway. It seemed even too stupid for the Knicks.

That is the Knicks position on Hardaway entering trade deadline. Is virtual untouchable. Not agreeing or disagreeing. If I'm the Rockets (and I'm assuming this is Daryl's position), I don't even begin a discussion for Asik / Lin unless it starts (not ends) with Chandler / Hardaway Jr. And on top of that I may want some other considerations as well. If you want one of the top 5 elite defensive centers in the game plus if you want Linsanity back it's not going to be cheep. If you don't want to pay the price then don't bother calling because I'm just too happy to keep both Lin and Asik.

Lin needs to prove he belongs in the NBA... to the haters...

as for Championships if he wins one with a team of good players they will just say he carried them

plus a team of good players wont let him distribute the ball on a nightly basis

a team of no name players will let him distribute the ball, show us his max potential... and they may surprise with wins... but they will never win a championship

which is fine...in the future he can just do as other vets have done... sign with a team that has a chance to win

Nobody from the Knickerbockers I'd trade for Lin or Asik. DOA. I'd rather do a trade with Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia or Atlanta. At least they have some assets that Rockets would actually want/need.

I agree. However, I would consider other ways to get Shumpert (who they have been clearly trying to trade for a while now) from the Knicks. We could use his perimeter D. Wonder if they'd take Garcia and a high 2nd rounder, or something like that.

I think Lin has already proven he belongs in the NBA.

    That is just silly.

Other execs will just tell Morey: "go ahead and keep them. Just pay these two guys 15 Mill each to play reserve role in 2014-2015". They know Rox don't want to do that and that is why these two are always in trade conversation since this summer.

Sooner or later Rox has to sell these two for cheap or risk letting them walk for nothing. And these two will walk. everyone knows that.

I don't know who is more desperate. But I think rox has the urge to NOT to pay 30 million dollars for two back up in 2014.

    Sixers want picks, not surprisingly.

Not silly at all, desperate execs will not say that... and morey is not desperate... the team is winning, rockets FO clearly knows what they gotten into when they signed those 2 for the poison pill contract... they are prepared to pay the 15 mill on the 3rd year as they basically got a bargain on the first 2 years... Asik might be different story as he already expressed his desire to leave...

They are winning but won't win it all.

They ultimately can let them walk for nothing, if they want cap space in 2015.

I think it's more about positioning themselves to keep Parsons and to gather assets for the future be it to develop or trade.

They know Asik is gone after his contract and he'll be difficult to replace.

Poison pils + morey = 110 more games to go Lin and Asik in Rox uniform.

Well the rocket need asik to be healthy and happy to even have a hope of reaching the wcf. Unless they trade asik or lin for a good backup center this team won't get past the second round unless something major happen to the other top tier western teams.

Paying them isn't really an issue for the Rockets. For them, it just averages out to the intended 8 million per year. The issue is for other teams. They don't want to pay them 15 million for potentially one year rental (even though cap hit is 8)
