That was a great segment by the way, love how Marceullus Wiley put SAS in his place regarding both Lin and Tebow. I'm a new fan of Wiley that was great!

SAS has also said that Felton is a better PG than Lin let's wait and see, I have a feeling someone will be eating a lot of crow this year :)

Luck was considered the better prospect because he played and displayed a great ability to run a Pro offense in college. RG3 was in a spread and has said himself they didn't even really have a playbook and he never took snaps under center. And even Peyton went 3-13 in his rookie year. To say RG3 is the better QB because of 3 games is ridiculous.

Andrew Luck is NOT Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning was a rookie when teams still played defense, not in this era of NFL scoring

to lose to the winless Jags at home, is pathetic. Give RG3 the same schedule as Luck and he wins 9 games

oh and did i mention Luck plays on a BETTER team

better defense, in a worse divison

RG3 has a worse O-Line, and has no Reggie Wayne, or any reciever that can seperate and get open

If i were a "fantasy football" guy I would start the opposing QB and WR againist the Redskins next week, the Redskins will probably give up 300 yards to Freeman and 125 on 6 receptions to Vincent Jackson. The Redskins secondary is a joke

Seems like for your benefit of augument, you kept bringing up his limited games as a starter, but you also neglect the positives. As a starter:

25 games, 18.2 ppg, 7.7 apg, 3.7 rpg, 2.0 spg. <--I bet anything that you didnt know about this when you kept mentioning his '25' games.

Lets look at his contract structure:

To Houston, it 8.3/year--the going rate for NBA starting PG.

    To the Knicks and Lin:
    1yr $5mil
    2yr $5.25mil
    3yr $14.75mil

First and second year are obviosly underpaid by NBA standard. Third year is a big question mark. Can Knicks avoid paying the third year lux tax? Of course they can--by trade him the second or even the third year.

How will he perform with his 25-game sample as a starter?
If you know anything about statistics, use it to 'project' the future based on 25-games, instead of listening to SAS! Why do you suppose Morey, statistical genius, offered Lin 25 million contract??

Did you really think Knicks wanted to keep Lin so bad???
Here is a chronicle of the events leading up to Knicks decided not to match Houston's offer:

    - Told Lin to seek offers from other teams instead of offering him a contract.
    - Signing Nash was their #1 priority this offseason.
    - Signed 39 yo Kidd to 9 million deal.
    - Dealing with Blazers on SnT w/Felton before they received offer sheet from Houston.
    - Felton did NOT agree to play for Knicks from the bench, his agent stated.
    - Signed Felton for 10 million right after they received the offer sheet from Houston.

Ask yourself again, "How bad did Knicks really want Lin?" Everything you heard from SAS and press was all 'damaging control' from Knicks. I guess they did a helluva job on you!!!

NY fans are easy to manipulate, they believe
    - Bringing Nash or Kidd to be Lin's mentor.
    - If they want to keep Lin, they have to pay 45-55M in third year.
    - Lin went to Houston to restructure the offer sheet
    - 25M is for Lin 25games, not his performance in the coming 3years
    - The MSG stock price can reflect Lin's value.

You are mainly using select TOs stats (the ones early on in season and only as a starter) in order to inflate your numbers to make your point. In turn, you are then using such select information to generalize and define Lin’s current ball handling abilities and value as a player, while forgetting to conveniently also note in your earlier post that he did improve as the season progressed. First of all, using his earlier TO stats to judge him is illogical and, secondly, using his average as a starter isn’t an entirely accurate assessment of his current abilities either. 4.7 TOs is too high, but if his season didn’t end prematurely, I’m sure this average would be much lower based on how he was trending.

Also, when you focus only on his earlier TOs and then further proceed to say things like “13 out of 26 games, he had 5 or more turnovers…”, then yes, you are distorting/exaggerating the numbers. Because that is only part of the numbers and only part of the story. Besides, it isn’t logical or rational to go on a forum and say things like this: “DWill had 5 or more TOs in 13 out of the first 26 games. In his first 5 game starts, he had…” I’m sure I would be blasted out of the Nets forum. Also, not sure why you try to compare Lin to Dragic who was in his 4th year and had previously played in the pros in Europe. Of course, Dragic should be better and, of course, he should have fewer TOs.

While it is only now that you finally acknowledge his improvement in TOs, you also decide to point out that that he had a couple 6-7 TO games near the end. So? He’ll likely continue to have such numbers at times in future seasons. Why? Because it’s normal and it happens. Because other PGs experience this. And because teams are fighting for a playoff spot. Rondo had a couple 6-7 TO games near the end. Parker had a couple 7 TO games near the end. Rose had a couple 7-8 TO games near the end. I guess I should get on their respective forums and remind their fans to moderate their hype over their PGs “because by the way, just as an FYI, they had a couple 6-8 TO games near the end and like it's soo atrocious…” Doesn't that sound like a really petty and ridiculous thing to say? Not only would I be blown out of the forum with a vengeance, but I would also be later hunted down to ensure that I don’t return.

Clearly, players are not assessed and valued based solely on their TOs. If they were, then PGs like DWill, Nash, Rondo, Westbrook etc. wouldn’t be regarded as elite PGs and wouldn’t be heavily pursued and given large contracts. TOs are only one aspect of their game, so accordingly, your points shouldn’t be entirely focused on this one aspect either.

As for SAS, (a) he’s wrong (as usual) and (b) as for him wanting NY to match Lin's offer in a perfect world?? Nice joke.
