Absolutely not. All BLACK PEOPLE ARE FREE OF BLAME. KWAME'S SMALL HANDS, AND LOW BBALL IQ ARE A RESULT OF WHITE RACISM. FACT.
So, you're saying that Lin-only fans are by nature biased, while you are somehow unbiased. LOL. Can you even listen to yourself talk? Only ignant plebs talk this way. If you're trying to represent the old members on this board, you're not doing a good job. And btw, since you say you're a "Rockets fan first," maybe that means supporting Rockets players. News flash: Lowry and Dragic are not Rockets anymore. Are you perhaps a Dragic-only fan? -- that sounds pretty stupid right? Well, you calling others Lin-only-fans is about as ridiculous as calling you a Dragic-only-fan. Let's stop this absurdity already.
That statement is incorrect. Their 3 max contracts and other contracts already put them over the cap. Why do you think all they are signing are old veterans right now. Lin actually gives him that depth going into the future because they don't have a lot of options to bring in young players for the future (they gave away a lot of their picks). The $15 mil in the 3rd year only affects the luxury tax, which they will already be paying and that money is paid by the owner/org., nothing to affect the cap. You should probably do some research and just not listen to pundits like SAS who will twist things to make his point. And no he would not want NY to match Lin's. You should of hear how sad he sounded when it looked like NY would have matched the first contract. People think he's racist or has some personal issue with Lin because he started criticizing Lin pretty much from the beginning when Lin was playing well and the Knicks were winning.
Lmfao. Kwame Brown had a lot of potential. It is absolutely his fault for being a lazy mental midget. That is the terrible example of how SAS criticizes players of all races. I have not heard SAS say anything good about Lin unless trivial PG is a good thing or being unable to defend a garbage can is a good thing. SAS is a clown and always has been. I can say the same for Skip Bayless too. Neither of them provide any analysis.
Of course Lin fans are biased regarding lin, They are his fans. im neither a fan of or a hater of lin. And i am unbiased towards lin. I want him to succeed cuz he is a rocket now. To me he is a pg who has a lot of potential, but he isnt a great pg -YET. 27 games doesnt merit that title. He has to prove that he can consistently play the position. Im not saying he wont, personally i think he will be a solid starter this year. Not flashy or an all-star, but a solid pg.
I was in Italy when the Rockets offered lin that contract, but from what i had heard was that the contract was a major poison pill for the knicks. The original contract the rockets were gonna offer was going to be immediately accepted by the Knicks. So the rockets decided to up the offer. Now The knicks would have to set aside, in lins 3rd year, $64 million between 4 players. which is ridiculous. So they had to debate whether lin was worth a max contract in his 3rd year. SAS was just pointing out, as am i, that for 27 games - he is not.
But in the third year he might be worth it, you don't know that nor SAS and the difference was only $6 million in the third year. Also, they could move his expiring contract or any of the others also before that 3rd year. He is an asset and they own his early bird rights so he really doesn't affect the cap. He also can bring in a lot of money to the Knicks also, just like he is already with the Rockets, probably even more because the NY market is huge
You're a lin hater and you ride Screamin A's jock. Don't front like you're objective. You're black. You're obviously not objective.
That is exactly why the Knicks wanted to keep him so bad. Does it make any logical sense for the knicks to let him go willingly? This shows that the way the contract was structured was just not worth it for them. besides there are plenty of solid pgs out there that can get the job done for them. Felton played very well for them before being traded to denver. Kidd is a solid pick up. Its not the end of the world that they didnt keep lin. Sure they may have lost a lot marketing wise, But its New York - i dont think they will be hurting that bad anyway.
But they could have had Lin and Felton. Lin doesn't affect their cap so they could bring in Felton for the contract they were able to give him. They just gave away an asset for nothing. An asset that is worth a lot marketing wise and basket wise.
SAS and Skip Bayless are paid to create controversy, generalization and criticism to brainwash the sport fans in ESPN. All they want is attention. They want people hate them because it provides ratings.
Am I the only one who thinks this show is hillarious? I watch it more for the the funniness than the actual commentary(which isn't very good).
Black QB's get critized whether they do good or bad..( thats just the way it goes) like before the season, just in case RG3 had a better rookie year than Luck, the media was saying that RG3 would get off to a better start than Luck(because he has a better team around him)... nevermind the fact that Andrew Luck was "supposedly" the best QB prospect since Elway and NFL ready, they kept making the excuse that RG3 has better players around him. I just watched the Cincy games and the Rams games for the first time, and the Redskins "D" especially their secondary is horrible. Luck plays on a better team in a worse division( end of story) with a better Defense. The only reason why the Colts were blown out in Chicago was because Luck turned the ball over 4 times. RG3 on the other hand has 8 TD's with 1 int, and 1 fumble. Or with Cam Newton, when the Panthers were about to play the G-Men, people were making excuses before the game saying that Eli doesnt play well in a short week, or the G-Men having injury issues. Just in case Cam's team happened to the win the game, they will use that excuse as a fallback. Or that RG3 lost to the Bengals.. a team that went to the playoffs last year(which is supposed to be a garbage team by most RG3 haters) Excuses are never made for Andrew Luck or any of the non-black qb's. Its always they had a bad game, even Blaine Gabbert stinking up the place, they still keep bringing him out there( and he is free of blame, unlike Cam). Nobody talking about Matthew Stafford's having a bad year either
This is a terrible thread and OP is an a**hole for even posting that video. It could only devolve into the massive pile of crud that it is now.
Blurred is the boundary between TV journalism and entertainment. SAS's job is to be an entertainer. The yelling hot head formula is the same as Fox News commentary.
il italiano, you keep harping on this turnovers per game yet when people discuss how his turnovers are actually "normal" for the amount of times that he's touched the ball you simply ignore that fact and pretend that it doesn't matter. I've read and heard many articles stating that his turnover ratio is on par with some of the greats like Steve Nash and others. Here's a pretty good article that analyzes his turnover ratio and thinks that he come ahead of most players because of the turnovers that he causes to his opponents. http://www.d3coder.com/thecity/2012/02/16/is-jeremy-lins-turnover-problem-a-problem-probably-not/ You see SAS is good at twisting facts to satisfy his agenda when he sees fit, I notice that you employ a similar style in your arguments. Anyway, the season is near so why keep arguing about past numbers when we'll all get to see his current performance very soon! We should be excited for the future not delve into the past.
ESPN should insert laughing sound effects whenever SAS and Skip speak to help naive sport fans to recognize it is an entertainment show.
