Clearly you weren't around for Kobe in 2006 or Lebron in 2010

Wow, actually take RESPONSIBILITY for this UNSUBSTANTIATED sensationalized crap. You CAN NOT hide behind a "maybe".

You DAMN well know some random guy posted here "Harden at Treasures at 4am!" with absolutely NO PROOF behind it. And you're still running with it as an ABSOLUTE. Thats shameful.

Clearly you have some proof of the game where they gave no effort?

Everyone is entitled to a bad game, but to not even hustle or give effort is inexcusable.

    Uhhh.....no it aint

It wasn't an elimination game and Lebron had a bad elbow

The next game, an ELIMINATION GAME, he put up a triple double with almost 30 points

Harden gave the weakest, sorriest effort I've seen by a "superstar" facing elimination, at home.

    No comparison

This right here is proof that people forget and things blow over eventually once there's something new to be outraged about

    1. You didn't point to any series in the other post, just years.
    2. You made an assertion, it seems reasonable you would be the one to back it up.
    3. Point to the specific game where they didn't give EFFORT. That's what this is about, not about how they played. From the opening tip on, absolutely no effort.

This is the only valid question and it's why I'm curious to see what comes out in the coming days, and something will certainly come out.

and Harden put up a 30 point triple double in a loss in game 5

A bad elbow didn't stop Lebron in game 6, but in game 5 he only shoots 14 times and scores 15 points as his team gets blown off the floor by the lower seeded Celtics and to go down 3-2?

Lebron then followed that up with his performance in the 2011 finals, so yeah, it absolutely is a comparison

    a chip erased everything

I just don't think he cares all that much. I think not playing well frustrates him more than other players, and instead of wanting to redeem himself he just sulks even more until the point of giving up.

People respond different ways to games not going well, Westbrook for example will say **** it just chuck 25 shots, Harden is like **** it I'm just going to stop trying at all and think about other things in life.

Kobe was 8 for 13 with 23 points in the first half of that game 7. A quick glance at the youtube clips available showed a dude hustling back on D too. So that's a reaaalllllly weird game to point to and completely shows how you are just grasping at straws or have a bad memory.

Here is your "quit game" as the OP on the youtube video calls it. A quote from the OP: "The infamous "Quit" game, which I frankly don't get. He didn't play a good game, but it sure as hell wasn't due to lack of effort."

Again, this is about EFFORT. You are confusing a bad game with heart.

Stop defending Harden's obvious lack of will and effort tonight by pointing to all-time greats who had off nights. It's embarrassing.

OK you clearly don't know those games he's talking about at all. They were both widely criticised for mailing it in to end their playoff run.

Reference above. And for the 100th time I am talking about giving effort from the opening bell.

You all are willing to make excuses for anyone, ever try being the mouthpiece for a tobacco company?

    SAS calling for investigation...

    Said it on SC.

Taking ZERO shots and like 5 very DGAF turnovers in a quarter and a half.

I know it was a tongue-n-cheek comment, but i smell fish...

Something was up tonight with him....

Like the dude popped a xan before tipoff and played.....or somethin'.

Not saying that's what he did, but i mean damn, son....you gotta be either high as f%ck or Jimmy Gueedo told you to lose that game OR ELSE.

    I

Gotta disagree with you and "JSizzle" regarding the Kobe Gm 7 vs the Suns in 06.
That wasn't quitting imo rather it was more proving a point(in a bad way) to the critics who'd been on him that whole series about his not passing the ball enough. He played like Kobe normally does in teh 1st half and then the 2nd half he just decided for some reason to prove to show the critics what would happen if he passed the ball more as opposed to shooting the ball.

Harden wasn't tryna prove any damn point.
