He seems weak minded. That's my impression.

Referring to him and Harden running the pick and roll.... "Who is going to stop that Pick and Roll?"

I have the same question.... I imagine that will just be killer.

Not sure if it is, but it should be. Dwight is a better player than Harden. He came off a season with a bad back, but prior to that, was known as a top 5 player in the nba because of his impact on both sides of the court. Harden is top 10.

    Completely agree.

I don't like how he claims to be a winner and seems content with his career thus far. He has a long way to go if he wants to be considered as one of the greats. I think his smile and laid back mentality is a bit overblown but these interviews don't help in my opinion.

FWIW, I don't need to hear somebody talk a bunch of smack about how many championships they're going to win, and when... I'll be satisfied to see the effort on the court... I respect someone who has a healthy sense of perspective. Yes, he's getting paid millions of dollars to play this game, but having a healthy perspective doesn't mean you aren't going to give it everything you have on the court. I don't remember Dream talking a lot of smack. He actually got better, as I recall, after he got deeper into his faith and got more perspective. No?

At least, he became less of a hothead... and won 2 championships.. coincidence?

He gained the fockass. Like McHale said, "You have to play free of mind. When you have a lot of stuff going on it’s hard to play."

Me too. Harden is stronger than him, despite his weaknesses. I see that drive in James, not Dwight. Howard wants to win,but he has a very long way to go.
I feel Howard overestimates his own abilities. McHale will challenge him, let's see how he responds to that.

This vid proves Dwight has no issues with running that deadly PnR with Harden.

Well, the video shows a few things about Dwight.

That he is happy to be blessed with such an opportunity --- playing in the NBA.

    I like that about him.

He doesn't take things for granted.

Also, it also shows that he wants to win the ring.

Its nice to know that he has his priority straight.

He wants to win the ring but he knows what is more important in life.

The only thing wrong about that is the mentality.

He needs to have a sharper mentality if he aims to get that ring.

That is one of the things that he needs to learn in the regular season --- sharpening his hunger for the ring.

You guys are making too big a deal out of his demeanor. He wouldn't have left a single red cent on the table if he didn't want to win a chip.

He wouldn't have left any money on the table if he already felt he was a winner and accomplished. He has to be political to the media.

He chose us because it is his best chance to win. The guy gets it. Lets see him on the court before we overreact.

That will be determined on the court. Specifically in the 4th quarters of big games when deals need to be closed.

Am I finding him more likeable now because he's a Rocket or because he's back to being Happy Dwight?

It doesn't need to be one person's team. We just need to win. I don't believe the Spurs have a single leader, and I'm pretty sure Lebron doesn't lead on his own over there in Miami. Long story short, James Harden is quiet but an unquestioned leader. The entire team, Dwight included, will be looking towards James' example, on the practice court as well as in the crunch.

No question Parson is the "leader" of the team. Our team is associated as fun and party boy Chandler is the epitome of our team.

Bunch of choir boys. I am okay with that too.
