Chris Paul is a 6 time first team all NBA defender and perennial all star and one of the best point guards in history.

He is widely touted as the best player ever taken at selection 4 in any NBA draft ever. The consensus selection for pick 29 is Josh Howard (lol).

Beverley et al are a pou pou platter - essentially salary filler. None of them are hard to replace. Non. (!)

Lou Williams is having a career year, but so what? He has a green light, plays no defence, and will most likely NOT finish the season with extreme career highs in %s. He is fools gold and crud - a bench gunner.

To think in ANY way we overpaid for Chris Paul shows a naive grasp of the stars league that is the NBA. We rorted the Clips in the deal. 29th pick + filler for Paul. Ouch.

DJ is definitely a better player than Capela. Concede. Better rim protector, rebounder, post defender, and finisher. But he is a liability on offense when he can easily be fouled to slow down our transition and fast break offense.

There's no mid-season trade that makes sense for the Rockets or the Clippers and it's stupid to speculate about what marquee free agents we might land in the summer that would necessitate passing on Clint's big payday. DeAndre Jordan is a better player today than Clint Capela. In a year it might be debatable. As far as cost analysis is concerned, we still need to see what the market for both players might be like in the free agency. DeAndre might have one big payday left.

Jordan needs to take a 3 year 24 mil deal. He got his pay. This keeps houston from resigning Capela to something like a max deal at 4-5 years at a crazy rate, and can somewhat get the same production. Meanwhile they buyout anderson over the summer.

Try to see if Paul would take a pay cut to let a third star sign here. This way they can get maybe lebron or Paul G. Rockets will probably be 1 piece away, i do think they can get to the WCF, this year again, but its gonna like 2015 where they dont have chance and they had 2 stars like they do now.
