His focus has been to stay in Houston all along. Unless Houston blinked & changed course on a financial commitment, length of deal that they thought all along they would do, they've shown no indication in Houston of not following through on the kind of big deal Chris Paul expected when he opted in & got traded there. Chris is gonna return there. Right now, his focus isn't so much on his own free agency, he's trying to recruit LeBron James to Houston. Someone close him to said to me he's as focused on recruiting LeBron as anything he's done in this league. He wants to find a way. We know Daryl Morey is always big game hunting. If LeBron said he wanted to come, they can find a way to make it happen.

This actually gives me a little more hope that his reporting could be inaccurate. Because he's not talking to anyone particularly close to CP3 if he's still touting a scenario where CP would leave.

Pet peeve: It's ridiculous that someone making as much money as SAS doesn't make even the slightest effort to understand the cap figures before saying stuff like this. Houston could let Capela walk, and they'd still be an above-the-cap team -- i.e. no additional resources for DeAndre Jordan.

Absolutely, don't get me wrong anyone would die to have LBJ but injuries have prevented this team from getting this chip, not only cp3 but Luc was a vital part of our defensive and offensive schemes, unfortunately his injury deteriorated his confidence and turned him into scrub.

Maybe in the east but not in the West. The Cavs with LBJ is a contender in that conference but he got thoroughly swept by the warriors. Even if him on the lakers is a better team than him on the cavs, I don’t see that team making it to the WCF.

I think LA is a distinct possibility. ... Don't discount Houston because his guy Chris Paul I do think still has a real gravitational pull to LeBron. They want to play together. I just don't know if LeBron is ready to put on that red Rocket jersey. If I had to guess I don't think he is.
