Bosh has to know this is the best fit for him. He has a center, a legit scoring guard, a future all star in AB...

    Come here! now!

For everyone who says that Lebron will get stuck out from waiting too long, I think you are greatly mistaken. Lebron can go wherever he wants and be better off than he will be in Cleveland. For example:
    NJ:
    Devin Harris
    Lebron James
    Derrick Favors
    Carlos Boozer
    Brook Lopez

    Washington
    John Wall
    Gilbert Arenas
    Lebron James
    Andre Blatch
    Fabricio Oberto

    ETC.

Washington doesn't have cap room to sign Lebron to a max deal.

    However, the Clippers do.

    Chris Kaman
    Blake Griffin
    Lebron James
    Eric Gordon
    Baron Davis

    That isn't bad either.

Other than FA making their names, sports analysts also make their names by claiming everything. I don't know which one I can trust. Maybe I'll just take the backseat and wacth

I think at this point in time, for Bosh to get full max over 6 years his best option is the Rockets. Currently it sounds like Toronto isnt interested in chumps from Chicago or Miami. Houston has many alternatives that they can offer without gutting the team that I think Toronto would be happy with. Whether it be vets or younger guys, the Rockets are the Raptors best sign & trading partner. At this point in time, unless Bosh takes the 5 year max from another team, I think he is heading to Houston.

Anyone think there is any other teams that have a chance of a S&T for Bosh?

You are also forgetting about the picks we have. Since the Knicks are no longer dead in the water with Amar'e they aren't a gold mine but a sweet addition. Not many teams are going to complain about getting a 1st round pick in the 16-30s

take me down to the Paradise City!! man, how i miss good ol' Guns n' Roses days!

as for Bosh.. well if we're somehow stand pat and didn't get him, a backup center (+health, finger crossed) is all we need to get to the 2nd round playoffs.. next year, when our young squad matured and improved+Yao signing for less money, we'll get the FA big names.. and also the championship..

It sounds like Houston is being used as leverage by the Bosh camp to get a full max deal from Mia/Chi.

Nope, i expect Toronto at this stage are basically saying, Hou S&t or you can walk.

Morey has basically used scorched earth to give Toronto leverage.

I sometimes wonder if people here know how leverage works, he always wanted a full max deal and was going to get one provided it was primary, all this does is basically mean Chicago are forced to give up something they don't want to, and Miami have nothing at all because Toronto are now in a situation where they're better of saying take Houston's s&t or walk, as the "on offer trades" by the others aren't worth giving him the extra year/money.

Are you sure you understand it's a common word and not some NBA jargon? :p

I wrote Bosh's camp were looking to extract a better deal from Mia/Chi, not Toronto.

As for Tor, Taking on a minimum of $13.2M for a team headed into re-build mode no matter who their trade partner is isn't the best scenario. The TEs generated from teams with cap space to can absorb salary + assets will alway be the better deal.

DM is smart. He targetted CB alone and he made sure he put in the first word.

Now the free agents are fighting it out among themselves. Friendships may be ruined as a result of this, or at least, cool off.

Don't worry, Lebron. Houston will welcome you the next time you become a free agent.

It's not about DM, man, the post is about the screwed-up mental state of some of the Rockets fans on this board.

I think the Rockets have a 50% chance of getting Bosh. I wonder what the next option is: Boozer? One of the top, recently-drafted rookies? A top SF (doesn't have to be a FA)? Foye? Rudy Fernandez?

I could easily see them taking Brad Miller.

Mia & Chi have piece/s they can giveaway if they need to to create the necessary cap room.

All three teams with cap space can do a S&T. They absorb the contract and a valuable TE is generated for Toronto.

I'm all for free agency and free enterprise, but some of the collusion being reported must in the long run be bad for the game. Am I alone in smelling the stench?
