John Hollinger, on ESPN chat today, was asked if Carmelo Anthony is a top 5 NBA player and Hollinger said that LBJ, Wade, Kobe, Howard, CP3, Bosh, and Durant are better.

Bosh might not be the best player in the NBA, but he is amongst the best and definitely deserves a max contract.

Y'all do remember the draft, right???

    Any draft for that matter.

It's the same thing here. You make offers, deals, take calls...you set up possible scenarios that are all based on other scenarios happening. Why does it have to be either Smith is full of it or "splash it's gonna happen"? Why can't it just be what it is......Bosh thought he'd get his money without much hassle, but that wasnt the case...now he has to not only get leverage through houston, but at least open up that possibility, so it's all worked out incase it's necessary.

I wouldnt doubt it if monday a report pops out naming names of who's involved in a S&T b/t houston and toronto...only for the deal to fall apart when another team finally caves in and gives into bosh. A LOT of time left.

So everyone should be prepared to be thisclose to a deal and yet so far.

All we need is a single absolutely reliable source confirming Bosh wants the Max and nothing less to secure our place as the top destination for Bosh.

All I get from this media circus is that Bosh, Wade, and LeChoke didn't quite have things as worked out as everyone thought.

If you follow the link you can see that it's in reference to his previous report about the holy trinity going to Miami. The WERE going to Miami, but now Bosh is throwing a "monkey wrench" into the deal.

We can only hope (most of us) that SAS is actually right this time. Of course, he could just be covering his ass if his initial report fails to materialize.

People need to stop freaking out about all these reports (which, are, by the way, interesting to read), and just have a little:

It's interesting that he thinks Bosh is better than all star PFs like Duncan, Gasol and Garnett. II could see Bosh being better than Garnett next year. Even though Duncan is past his prime, I would take him over Bosh. I would take Gasol over Bosh also.

Every free agent wants the max. If they're indicating otherwise to anyone it's just a huge waste of time.

Duncan and Garnett are way past their prime. Gasol is good but bosh is better, way better IMO.

Duncan and Garnett are no longer dominant...at least on the level of Bosh. Gasol is awesome and can definitely be considered a better PF than Bosh, but you also have to remember that Kobe takes a ton of pressure and attention away from Pau, which in turn, makes the game easier for Gasol.

Ain't that the truth? That's why I find it funny that people think free agents will flock to NY for the minimum. If that was true, then Amir Johnson and Darko would be going to NY, instead of being overpaid.

I can't imagine the Spurs past the Mavericks in the last playoff series with Bosh instead of Duncan. I don't think he affects the game defensively like Duncan does.

The fact that it's Screamin' A makes me think it's far from true.

Post of the year. Maybe a Dallas/Houston bidding war can get a Civil War video. Or Bosh leaving Miami gets Estranged? Houston not getting Bosh gets Don't Cry...ok, I'll stop now.
