Barry Warner. Man, that guy was half Stephen A Smith and half George Costanza. What an idiot that guy was. I HATED it when he did Rockets games.
I dislike him , but he's developed "in's" with a lot of top players. He plays the old Ahmad Rashad role now. He'll turn up on TNT IMO. His personality fits there.
Well that and he seemed to be more 'in the know' when players are concerned...atleast he was a couple years ago when he really was everywhere. The players were more comfortable talking to him and he got players to be more open in interviews. I'm sure that's why ESPN liked him so much...there seems to be alot less drama in the NBA right now, so he's not necessary. EDIT: King1 beat me to it...but QUITE FRANKLY MY EXPLANATION IS BETTER!
Smith confirms it's true: http://stephena.com/?p=54 Goodbye ESPN!!! My last day at ESPN is May 1. It’s been a wonderful, wonderful ride, filled with great accomplishments, great memories and, most importantly, great friendships. It’s difficult to express how appreciative I am to everyone at ESPN for all they’ve done for my career. But nothing lasts forever. It’s time to move on.
Yea I mean seriously. . . Who can name 5 other ESPN Personalities Rocket River ok . . .maybe it is just me'
LOL! Costanza and SAS... that's a hell of a mutation! Didn't a former Oiler throw Warner into a pool or something back in the day?
