His lack of quickness would be a severe problem for him in the CBA...Tmac is a hanger on these days.....sadly. DD
Are you going to channel your inner OHHMMSS and bust this thread open with a CBA is better than NBA debate? kidding kidding.
well as A Smith said there are not many players especially SG that can help bulls next season. As for McGrady he is an upgrade over Bogans because of his passing ability. That may make sense especially since Derrick Rose had to create every play for the Bulls previous year. McGrady will make his job easier as he can control the offense and make plays. The problem is his scoring, he didn't find it last season but if he somehow can get those 12 ppg and 4 asists I belive he is gonna make them better, a lot better, especially during the playoffs. His effort will have to be there.
the problem is Bogans had around 5 or so attpempts per game. There is no question Tracy is better than Keith since they have young athletic Ronnie Brewer who can be a defensive player too. Tracy at their roster makes more sense than Keith IMO and nubers don't matter.
This is likely McGrady or his agent throwing his name out there to generate interest from teams if there is any.
Lol, no... It makes sense, Thibbs was the assistant in Houston while McGrady was playing. They even chuckled at each other during the Bulls/Pistons game so they most likely have a great relationship. Paxon knows McGrady's agent too.
No point in doing that at this point in his career. Only way he would want leverage is to get more money. I highly doubt money would be a motivation for a vet like him who is clearly on his last legs trying to get a last chance for the illustrious LOB trophy. He's been interested in Chicago since 09 when the Rockets were finally openingly shopping him.
Quite the opposite. Especially if no one is calling and the fans and media starting talking about him as an option. Teams now have a name if they need someone quick.
Soon, DD will say Bogans is better offensively than T-Mac. DaDakota is simply a hater. Nothing you can do. He just oozes hate. It makes him feel better I suppose. Sure T-Mac has flaws.... but I dunno why people think pro athletes should be perfect
I would bet that this could happen for Tmac.. however I wouldn't bet with a Tmac fan cause those people aren't man (or woman or child) enough to pay up.
I would on an offhand guess say its worse. But Bogans had so little impact offensively. Mcgrady can actually make plays. I don't even know who the back up point guard for the Bulls is (Pargo?) He could actually fill multiple roles at the Bulls I think with the except of Aaron Affalo he would be the best free agent out there at the 2/3/1 spot for the bulls in terms of value for money and impact
Regarding McGrady - his basketball IQ definitely would be an asset on the Bulls, Rose was the only facilitator last year. That said, it needs to be taken into account that no one knows how McGrady will look on the other side of the lockout. Protracted layoffs are career killers for vets. Is McGrady putting in the effort he did 15 months ago? Or is he slipping back out of shape? 32 to 28 to 26 to 24 to 22 to 16 to to 10 to 8 ppg over the past 8-9 years. The writing's on the wall, and if there's been a guy that's been able to turn the downward trend around after 14 years, I don't know who he is. McGrady had better be working like '96 MJ right now, or else I doubt he makes anyone's roster. Not a lot of room on NBA rosters for anyone robbed of their athleticism, regardless of vision or passing skills. DD has become anti-Clutch. It's disturbingly acceptable here for folks to be vicious towards him, and honestly, he takes it on the chin better than the vast majority would. I get that he's a high rate poster and his opinions can be out there....but there's simply no call for folks to toss the topic out the window and barrage him with personal insults. I wouldn't mind seeing the BBS take a tougher stance on flaming. It's like hockey fights or raising your cleats sliding into second...just because it's tradition doesn't mean it has value.
