That team arguably got worse after they traded for Mutombo. I don't blame Mutombo for it, it's more that they lost Kukoc, who was probably the best fit with AI of all his teammates in his prime. But I guess I would say that Mutombo was very replaceable. I don't think there was a player at the time who would've made that team work, besides Iverson. Offensively it was a terribly built team with no spacing at all after they traded Kukoc. You needed a player who could distort defenses on his own, with the ball and off the ball. In a sense, Iverson had very similar effect to Curry on defenses in his prime, he could distort defenses and put multiple players out of position without even touching the ball on a possession.
Both players are fantastic talents and are a bit underrated by both sides. Iverson would be a fantastic player, as usual, but being in a system where he doesn't have free-reign to shoot or playing without the balls may not see well with him, if the team is losing or lead by a coach that he doesn't respect. It's silly to think Curry wouldn't be elite in any era of basketball without his elite shooting. He's in the same class of shooting as Bird, Miller, Nash, and Price. He can shoot 3s with the best of them. His speed is uncanny and he can beat the best defenders off the dribble. Who is better? At this point, I have to say Iverson, because he's a finished product and multiple time scoring champion and has been to the NBA Finals.

As far as "handle", I'd rank them Irving>Iverson>Curry. Iverson was so quick that he didn't need to crossover his opponents to get to the basket. He basically went to the same move every time because it worked.
Curry would make any team better, but AI would ruin 90% teams he plays for. The guy couldn't even get a roster spot at age 31? It was real sad.
