Atlanta seems like a logical choice....or is Johnson back home in arkansas? I think we are all focused on acquiring bosh, but as we all know we have a pretty solid PF rotation that just got deeper and better on draft night. Looking at our lineup from 1 to 5, the sf spot is the only one lacking star power, so it's more than possible Johnson is high on their list. If they can get Johnson to lean their way it could greatly influence bosh's decision, especially if Johnson commits. Even if Bosh decides against it getting Johnson alone would be a great move by itself. One thing that i always think about though when considering potential trades at SF, is what Houston really promised Ariza last summer. We all remember the "feature role" that was offered, but what exactly did they mean. Was it simply a playing time promise or a "we want you here as part of our core for years to come" promise? It's not like Morey to go against something he offered a player, so that could be the difference here. Are they willing to include ariza in a trade? Are they willing to trade battier and budinger instead and force Ariza to being a smaller piece of the pie again as a minor role player?
Where on earth are they going? Doesn't look like it's anywhere near the home of Bosh or the Raptors. I just hope they don't make the mistake of overpaying Johnson of Atlanta!!!!!
I would love Johnson, assuming we could send them Ariza in the swap.... Johnson is actually a pretty good defender and I think Brooks/Martin/Johnson would be a good combination. dude you're a day late...they started in hope, Ark and from there went tot he next two destinations. today they left Alabama and are heading to somewhere they're not revealing. Well, bosh was in miami this weekend, but i havent heard of him leaving yet, so perhaps they scheduled a meeting with bosh there?
