yeah he did cause it was cut when he was on sportscenter the other day.... i just posted it cause he said he would probably just be in dallas. Doesnt mean he is, but thats what he was saying whenever he made that video.
ROCKETS stay pat.............. forget this riding all over country in the TUNDRAs ..... tell D.M. to go do a RAlly infront of BRAD MILLER's casa or SHAQ's casa.... sign either 1 up....wait till YAO gets back.... and hope we can stay afloat...... come the 2011 trade deadline make ur SPLASH !!! i fell we have more chips in our corner come the trade deadline 2011
The Tundra is a publicity stunt, nothing more than a way for the organization to look like it is on the cutting, and creative, edge.
2 of the more likely scenarios of how all this shakes out at this point: Scenario 1: not so good for Rockets Lebron to Chi Wade and Bosh to Miami Knicks settle for 2 2nd tier free agents Rockets get none of the stars and settle for a backup C or a similar small move and waits until next year's trade deadline to make a push Scenario 2: Rockets become championship contenders Miami decides they would rather have LeBron and Bosh than Wade and Bosh (due to injury risk or whatever and knowing Bron and Wade cannot play together and none of them will accept a paycut so all 3 is out of the question) and blow their wad on Bron and Bosh Wade (who has stated a disdain for Chicago) looks to the only other team with both SnT assets that can help Miami a lot next season (Kevin Martin) and a championship caliber roster itself and SnTs with the Rockets Yao / Hill Scola / Patterson Ariza / Battier Wade / Budinger or Taylor Brooks / Lowry Now THAT's a championship contender
i'm beginning to think that DM knows we are not going to land one of the big name free agents and all this hoopla with the caravan, videos, etc has just been a horse & pony show to demonstrate to the fans 'hey we tried'
doubt it, we have no reason to even try with such a talented team...we should be surrpised that he even tried, not to mention it actually worries some it may make us worse in some way or affect chemistry...plus the trying part is actually sitting down with a FA and making a pitch, not riding around half the country.
Bingo Bingo It's all PR moves, publicity stunt, whatever you want to call it. "Oh we tried; we have the greatest fans; great fans who came up with this idea and who got to get involved in the process; etc; etc." This isnt going to have a impact on whether a FA considers us or not.
i agree that this is a publicity stunt that likely won't influence a free agent's decision, but to say it's a smokescreen so the organization can act like they tried is a bit much.
Chris Bosh[and Dwyane Wade] to meet teams in Chicago. http://twitter.com/FisolaNYDN/status/17447840506
7 hour drive from Zanesville (I think that's where they were) to Chicago...which would put them RIGHT ON TIME at 11 PM CST or 12 AM EST.
