Amar'e finally opted out, but in the past few days was still in talks to sign an extension with Phoenix, don't think morey makes them drive over there without being sure the player would be a free agent
Read an article recently saying Amare closed the door on returning to the Suns and will definitely be a free agent that moves on.
This fits Morey's profile of surprising the hell out of us. I was thinking Wade yesterday while all the talk was on Bosh. Sounds like a better acquisition for us. C'mon D-Wade, make Houston your new home.
Gotta admit this is pretty cool to follow, especially uncovering these "clues". I wonder if Bosh and Lebron are already in Miami with Wade after their "summit" and that's just where they were planning on doing business so that all three would be together. I'm sure Morey's target is Bosh but I'm sure he'll talk to agents at least for Lebron and Wade and try to setup a meeting if Bosh isn't looking promising and if possible. Before we got K-mart, I thought that Wade would be a great fit and a target for us, but it's going to be hard to pry him away from Miami IMO.
Amar'e was saying he would opt out because the suns didnt want to pay him what he wanted... but recently, as in the last few days, they started talking and the report was the talks were very serious about a contract extension...when the suns still didnt get high enough on salary, Amar'e decided to opt out....so those talks where ongoing as the caravan left and was traveling to miami.....either way, it means Amar'e is in phoenix, not florida.
BTW, Amare is in LA right now according to Chris Broussard. Also, if they're targeting a meeting with Wade, I highly doubt a stop to meet with the player he's replacing (KMart) would have taken place.

As for this "free agent summit in miami"......it's clear that johnson is in LA, amare is in phoenix, and lebron appears tobe in Cleveland. The knicks are suppose to fly out to meet with Johnson in LA early tomorrow and then flying back to meet with Lebron in Ohio ont he same day. So it's probably only wade and bosh in Miami tomorrow

Bosh will be in Dallas waiting for offers. This is according to Chad Ford's latest tweet. Nothing would surprise me though. He might be in Miami too.

his tweet is in response to bosh's vid that was just posted on his twitter, which is old because of his dreadlocks...he says "he'll probably be back home in dallas" on the clip....so i think that can change since he taped this over a week ago (i think) ah, i guess amar'e flew out to LA then... As for Martin, what if Martin knows a bout a potential deal? I dont think it's likely, but still...Martin's trainer is in florida and martin spends a lot of offseason time there. It would probably be great to have him nearby during the season as well, so i think Martin would welcome a trade to Miami.
