Any team with Chuck Hayes playing 15-20 min will never win a Championship

I think the following part of the article is why the Rockets are giving him a look:

He's actually been to the charity stripe more often (202 times) than he's credited for field goal attempts (196). That's astoundingly efficient. When he gets the ball further out, he typically puts the ball on the floor and beats the (usually) slower defender to the basket. I've actually been really impressed with this facet of his game.

Are we sure he takes up a roster spot? It says he's here for tryouts. I'm wondering if having on contract alone means he's on a roster spot. If he's not practicing with the team and not suiting up, does that count?

Perhaps he was only signed now as a way of locking him into training camp before someone else grabs him.

Armstrong's coming off contract, not getting minutes. Yet the Rockets have all these injured bigs. Maybe he wants out?

100% false... Chuck Hayes could play 15 minutes for several championship teams...

Wow. I'm excited now. He sounds like he can be a good defender at the NBA level almost immediately. Couple that with his athleticism and ability to finish above the rim and I think he might just stick. I wonder if he has problems with his attitude considering he has produced decent numbers in the NBA but has not lasted anywhere.

Sounds like he's worth a tryout. If he can do that against NBA players, then maybe he can develop into a PF version of Maggette.
