Doesn't make much sense trading Brewer in roster construction point of view either. Rockets are not going (or able) to keep both TJ and DMo the coming summer. It makes sense to trade for Morris considering his capability and bargain $8M salary when every team has millions in the pocket next summer. On the other hand, Rockets need Brewer at the 2/3 for the depth.

Weird that this rumor comes out now considering Brewer isn't tradeable for over another month. It would be hard to make a trade right now, I'm trying to think of way it would be possible Perhaps something like Leuer for Shved TPE Then KJ, Jones, Dekker and Harrell for Morris + pick We'd have 13 players and it would work financially even with the hard cap (once KJ becomes tradeable dec 15th) Beverley / Lawson Harden / Thornton / Terry Ariza / Brewer Morris / Motie / Leuer Howard / Capela Or we wait until Brewer becomes tradeable, or we don't trade for him.
I was all for Ryan Anderson this last offseason but his game against us was very unimpressive. Soft on defense, flopping, and taking fadaway shots when the Pelicans should've gotten it into Davis. I guess he would be a solid back up PF.
It will be the 15th. All unrestricted free agents who signed over the summer will be available to be traded on the 15th including KJ, Thornton, Terry, PatBev, and Brewer.
