If this were my choice, I'd trade Brewer and TJones for Morris, then use all of my other assets to get a 3 point wing sniper.
I don't see how this helps our team. We need guys that can shoot from long range not another mediocre PF with no upside.
Remember that rumor that kieff wanted to come to Houston after working out with the rockets? We were waiting Til the 15 so we can trade brew.....bye bye brew
Why would the Rockets be looking to add a power forward right when DMo is coming back? A much much less effective power forward IMHO.
Because Keef off the bench is more consistent than Terrence Jones. In fact, two years ago, he was a great sixth man for Phoenix even with 31% for 3.
How quickly you all forget that Brewer was our clutch star in the playoffs. You can trust him in the trench when pressure time comes. DO NOT TRADE BREWER....we will regret it when it counts.
Rockets: + Morris $8M + Drafts (late 1st rounder, or 2nd rounder(s)) - TJ $2.5M - KJ $3.2M (only available after Dec 14) - Dekker $1.6M
0-5ft from basket: Jones is 47/87 (54%) and 14 have been blocked. So 16% of his shots 5 feet and in are blocked. Morris is 38/71 (53.5%) and 13 have been blocked, which equates to 18.3% of his shots are blocked 5 feet and in. Soooooooooo?
I may be mistaken, but the Rockets are hard capped and cannot take back one cent more in salary than they give up.
T-Jones is showing signs of life lately and he's also shooting 38% from 3. His 3pt % has increased every season. But we're probably not keeping him next season and the Markief Morris from last season is definitely worth 8 mil for the next couple of years.
