I don't think that Morey will risk long term flexibility to resign DMO, especially with Howard possibly coming off the books. If DMO becomes an ideal stretch 4 at near all star level, then probably, but not if he is what he was last year, a good but not special player.
Wonder why? Its because Brewer truly has been awful, and Jones hasn't. Jones isn't Asian, he doesn't have any special fans. The fans that defend Jones from being unjustifiably ****ted on are normal Rocket fans.
Jones has not been that terrible Bobby and you know this. And for the million and one time, Jones does not have a special fan base like that period. I would however tell you that you Dmo only fans are equivalent to those LOF's. I don't ever see you being as critical when discussing Dmo's flaws. You come up with all kinds of excuses.

It'll be no different than when the Spurs signed Kawhi Leonard last season. The Rockets will have flexibility this off-season to try and make a run at Durant and if they manage to land him, they'll sign DMo after the fact using his Bird rights. Up until that point his cap hold will be pretty small and not really a factor. If Dwight comes off the books, that just makes it all even that much easier.

I don't think I would mind this trade, so long as it didn't require anyone of any significance. T Jones is frustrating as hell to watch. He is so gifted for his size. He should be taking bigs off the dribble constantly. Instead he's taking bad shots with wild finishes, and, more importantly, make silly mistakes and getting killed on the glass. Perhaps it's a system issue. With T Jones' mobility and athleticism, he should be getting easy shots at the rim all the time. I wish we could combine the best of Adelman, JVG, and Rudy T (offense, defense, heart) for this team.
That's because jopat through his two 25000+ usernames act like Terrence Jones owes him money. Jones can be exasperating but he's quite a cut above the last-picked even-though-he's-not-white YMCA scrub that jopat lambasts.
Markieff Morris nothing special. He is a rotation caliber player but not a long term starter. He has personal issues; isn't particularly good at defense or three point shooting... Doesn't shoot particularly well off the kick out and doesn't have a back to the basket game. His offense consists of dribbling 2-3 times and hitting mid range jumpers and the occasional putback.
Hmm, Morris is so much better. You watch highlights of Morris and his post moves and shooting looks much better and smoother. Despite his woes I think he could fit well. Problem is im not content with trading Beverly, Ariza or brewer for Morris. Which it appears would be the only I think.

No need to add Harrell, in fact in that trade proposal we should probably be getting back a 2nd or something. It would work financially I believe we would just need to sign a Dleague minimum player afterwards to meet the roster minimum of 13 players.
I think the bad start was a fluke. Everyone went cold . It happens. I want us to give it a little more time. We are a few wins away from being the third seed.
