He isn't a secret. He tried to recruit Bosh for us via video. He was the headliner of our Dwight entourage last summer. I think it's great that he's so respected by this generation of players. He's probably our ace in the hole when it comes to recruiting Melo. Jordan isn't going to be there for Chicago and Rose won't recruit. When Hakeem tells Melo he can come here and be the best, you know he'll get his attention.

I salivate at the thought of the vets we could attract with Carmelo, Howard, Harden and HOF coach McHale. Of course Parsons alone will attract some too (Jason Collins).

    37 and 45....

The Knick's just went 37 and 45 in Carmelo prime, missing the playoffs, what a waste of his talent. I bet if Melo was on the Bucks, that they could of had the same record as the Knick's this season. The Knick's organization obviously aren't capable of building a contender. With Carmelo being 30, he doesn't have anytime to sit around and see if they can either.

He's gone IMO, unless they pull off a miracle to bring in another superstar.
a pay cut, and that would be ****ing Bosh over pretty bad.

Damn i wish i had the ability to edit, ignore that last sentence lol.

I wrote another paragraph on the possibility of him going to Miami with Lebron and Wade, kicking Bosh off the team. I decided to delete it, but i accidentally didn't delete the last sentence.

If we don't land Melo I think we really just need to find a way to get BOTH of Millsap and Lowry here. Millsap is a better player than Bosh at this point and with the addition of Lowry could bring some stability to our half-court sets. Plus then you probably find a way to keep Parsons and you don't have to ditch Jones.

Yes, that would be the ideal summer, but I highly doubt Millsap is on the market. The fact is that Atlanta worked very well with him and Horford playing at the same time, and you don't trade the player who was the best player of your team, considering also that he has a good looking salary. You just don't trade him.

Bulls play in the Eastern conference. If Rose stays healthy, that's guaranteed conference finals.

MeloRose Bulls vs whatever team LeBron is on.

I do wonder how the competition in each conference will affect his decision. The East is obviously much weaker; would he rather stay and team with Rose who may or may not be back to his all-star self? (Would Noah be the 3rd man in their Big 3?) If Miami reloads and Indiana shakes off their issues, those would be arguably better squads.

Does he come to Houston to team with arguably two top ten players? But does he take the gamble on playing in a tougher conference?

@WojYahooNBA: RT @KCJHoop: Remember, Bulls confident they'd land LBJ, DWade or both in 2010 and traded Kirk away for nothing. No chance they do that again unless sure.

As for the Knicks taking expirings, in a year they have $73 million in contracts coming off anyway, counting Melo, so that won't excite them as much as it might other teams.

The Spurs have one more year tops (and I know that has been said before but it is true now IMO) Then there is just OKC and LAC. I don't buy LAC long term unless they get another player. I don't think the factor of which conference is more open plays to Carmelo that much.

This was year one together for us and we often played like it. It was especially evident during the playoffs. I don't believe Chicago is a real option and I believe Anthony has his eyes fixed on Houston. Anthony will be an easy integration into the lineup alongside Bev, Harden,Parsons and Howard. Those players (James, Carmelo, Chandler) have to commit to defense but Parsons and Harden have to do that in ANY scenario where we win regardless.

We need to shed Lin and Asik quickly. Lin+#25+3Million would seem to be an acceptable deal to one of the qualified teams.....
