I hope it's not Waiters. The nicest thing I can say about Dion is he's about a half-step above awful. I'd take Ibaka; especially on that contract. I could probably be talked into Kanter as well.
It has to be Dion Waiters, who is one of the biggest question marks to me in the NBA from a risk reward standpoint. So inconsistent, Kind of a head case, streaky but capable shooter and good ball handler; good defender. If the light ever goes on, someone is going to get a good player, but so risky.
I'd be a definite no on Kanter, he's one of the most one sided players in the league, according to DRPM he was literally the worst center in the NBA among the 77 that played enough minutes to count. He's just so terrible defensively it's hard to have him on the court. He's like the Micheal Beasley of centers.
Ibaka is declining, going into a contract year with the cap rising at 110/115 millions and also rumored to be older than reported...at this point i'd still take him but i'm not that confident in throwing a lot of assets for him...
I get that, but he's also going to score and rebound the hell out of the ball at a rate that's likely to far exceed the value of his contract. INot wild about the idea either, just saying I could probably be talked into it.
Only when you have him on the court and when he's on the court, you are giving the other team as many points as he scores or more. If he was merely bad defensively I could see it, but he's truly pathetic. He's like Terrence Jones bad defensively and you just can't have that on the court. The Thunder played him over 10 minutes just once in the last 3 games against the Warriors because he was such a net negative every time he stepped on the court. I just can't see paying a premium for that.
Snow pass me over whatever your smoking brother. It would have been a cold day in hell with this current JBB lead rockets team in beating OKC in the playoffs this season.
Not one bit of insight has been given in this thread outside of what Stein said, just a bunch of theory crafting. DD
That Stein troll tweet didn't provide any insight either....other than what Cuban had him write this time.
So your admitting that what your saying is a load of crap? What!!!!! DD, your word is the truth how could you do that to us.
Codman, woah. "very confident confirmation that KD will not be in OKC next season." Pretty bold statement.
Well clearly, I have not spoken to Durant, but you can extrapolate out the possibilities and any intelligent person would be able to figure out it is not in Houston. DD
I would question the intelligence of a person that couldn't see that Houston offered more than OKC if they were able to look at it objectively and honestly. I mean, sure there are other possible destinations that are also better than OKC but Houston is one as well. If you factor in intangible reasons why he might choose to play in Houston it's actually pretty laughable to disregard the possibility of it happening.
Dont mind some people on this board Bobbythegreat, they have been Heart broken so many times they are afraid to dream big anymore with the thought of being let down again, poor things let them wallow in their self pity.
