He says the Tennessee Titans/Texans at least once when ever he does Texans games.....I can't stand the guy.
Wow, you are like the Anti-Nostradamus or something.. woohoo. My prediction was always that the Texans would be lucky to be within 3 touchdowns by the end of the game. I guess they were lucky.
Because Casserly is teh suck at his job with this team. BTW-We re-signed "Can't run a crisp route" Bradford for what reason exactly?
It looks like it boils down to controlling the line of scrimmage. We're just not able to do that at all on offense or defense.
I'm no Football expert but doesnt it take some time for OLinmen to develop and click. If im not mistaken wasnt Robert Gallery labeled as dissapointing last season? Regardless, by the time we get a decent line Carrs' gonna be powering his wheelchair thru a straw. God willing we might go 0-16 this season. Amd the sad fact is that Casserly will still be our GM.
I believe Ogdon, Pace, and Boselli came into the league and dominated. Some people are saying that Ferguson is on that level.
I took my son to this game and we left at half time. There's no sense sitting in traffic for an hour and a half following a slaughter like this. I realize that the Steelers are a much better. I never said the Texan's had a chance. Ben walked into the perfect situation, but he is a better QB than Carr - by farr. Let's face it - Carr has shell-shock. That's all there is to it. This offesnse is completely out of synch and I'm blaming Capers. Even if the line does luck out and give Carr enough time, Carr still freaks out and takes off running and can't complete an easy pass. Then you have WR who can't catch a rare good throw. Truly horrible. Capers sucks serious ASS!!! I don't even want to hear his excuses. The sound of his voice isn't worth a spit of my time.
The Texans have talent but IMHO the coaching staff is not utilizing it to its full potential. We have played 2 very talented teams and were humiliated both times, it is not bad to lose to a good team but this team looks unprepared which is not acceptable. I am not a big fan of firing a coach at the beginning of the season but if this continues then the front office needs to look at the improvement, or lack thereof, and reaccess what direction we are going. I am willing to give it a few more weeks but this division is tough and we cannot wait to long to make a push. Anything short of a playoff sniff is unacceptable
It would still be nice to draft an O-Lineman with our 1st round pick. Then acqure 1 more via free agency, and i think the problem would be solved. Then we can begin to really evaluate our pasing and running game. But if we keep playing this bad, and Vince Young is on the board, i have no ojections.
I was thinking about this last night. What if the brass in the Texan's organization have realized that they made a mistake in taking Carr with the first pick their first year, and are now convinced the team is going nowhere with Carr as the QB? *IF* they truly believed that Carr was not the ultimate solution at QB, what would they do? They couldn't trade Carr for a bag of peanuts right now, and they see Vince and ML sitting out there, the same as everyone else does. Do they give a Herculean effort, go 5-11, and come away with the 4th or 5th pick in the draft, and miss out on both of those guys? Yes I know everyone says 'Take an Offensive Lineman or three!!' And yeah we need em, but you can get quality guys like that in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and even later. But that top-tier QB, well heck, how can McNair NOT have already had fantasies of what it would do to the turnstiles, having Vince Young at QB for the Texans?? My little conspiracy theory is telling me that the team is purposefully tanking, with their sights set on Vince Young. Either that, or they just suck. Doesn't matter really, as long as we land VY.
Why the hell does Carr throw these laser passes to his receivers? They seem to just bounce out of the hands or off the chest. Doesn't make any sense.
You can get guys like Chester Pitts and Zack Wiegert in the 2nd and 3rd rounds... you cannot get the STUD O-lineman that teams build a franchise on (let alone a Superbowl contender). Orlando Pace, Jonathan Ogden, Tony Boseli's will go in the top 5 every single year.... and this team has to have one of those guys if they're available. There's NO evidence out there that ML or Vince would be able to handle themselves under these circumstances any better than Carr. Hell... Carson Palmer was considered just as NFL ready as Leinert and he still had to sit out a year (for a team with more of a talent up front than Houston has).
I hope this was being sarcastic. Carr's passes that were dropped yesterday HAVE to be made. They're hitting these guys right in the chest. You want to see lasers, just look at tapes of Elway or Marino firing it in.
