You are absolutely right on both counts. It is not unacceptable to be 0-2 after playing at Buffalo and against Pittsburgh, two great defenses. It is wholly unacceptable the way that they have done it. To have actually regressed back to the expansion year or worse is beyond comprehension. Mr. McNair, It's time. Something needs to happen now while there is still 2 weeks to do something new. You are losing the fans. It wasn't the heat that chased them off today. If the remaining home games aren't already sold out, you will be looking at blacked out games in the Houston area on tv for the first time in franchise history. We simply do not trust in Dom Capers and his coaching staff. Charley Casserly really seemed like he was doing things the right way. Something has gone very wrong and nothing is working. How can you be satisfied seeing your franchise QB sacked 8 times while also knowing that there was some very good OL talent in the free agent pool this offseason? Jason Babin is not showing his worth as a 1st round picj who cost you 3 middle round picks. Philip Buchanon couldn't cover or tackle my dead grandmother. Losing the vet presence in Sharper and Glenn isn't seeming like it was such a good idea. We, the fans of the Houston Texans implore you. Please do something! Show some anger in public. It's time that Dom Capers and Charley Casserly know that you won't put up with this embarassment in a season where the team should have been competing for a playoff spot, not simply competing to score a point.
Don't worry there's not a Steelers fan I know that doesn't mute the announcers and listen/watch with the radio.
It's really depressing watching this team... I know Carr has talent... I know Andre is a top 3 WR talent in the league.... I'm just not seeing it. Palmer should be fired by tommorw to give whoever the next OC a few weeks to prepare for the next game. The offense is just terrible I think its worse than the early Rockets from last season. And we all wanted JVG's head for giving us a poor product to watch so we should do the same in Palmers case. Any OC would show drastic improvement. I still believe this team has some talent. There's no reason for this team to never throw the ball to AJ other than a screen I dont care how bad the OL is, you have to attempt to let your playmaker to make "big" plays. Palmer doesnt do that which is basic playing 101... He should be fired by the days end...
i can't think of anything positive to say other than that it can't get much worse. seriously. past this season, of course. this is a really, really bad team right now.
I just heard a interview on Ch.13 with David Carr and he said the Texans are as talented as the Steelers. LOL.
My first Texans game, and I must say it was a huge disappointment. It seem that a 1/3 of the crowd were all Steelers fans. It was humuliating to see them tease the Texans, and worse, there was nothing that I could say b/c we clearly played horrible out there. Hopefully, we can see some improvement asap...
Wow, the Texans are crap. They defintely need to restart this damn team by firing everyone from Casserly down. They need to hire better scouts so they can actually draft an offensive lineman in next year's draft. For you guys who went to the game, what a waste of money....
Travis Johnson should be starting. This defense is not even close to be being good enough for him to no start. He should replace Walker or Payne.
I was at the game. Got a nice sunburn and in return I got to see the Texans play like crap. Remember when we made the Buchanon trade, moe was in here telling us how much he sucked and we all just brushed it off? Well, moe was right. Phillip Buchanon is terrible. He got beat so many times today I lost count. And that weak attempt at a tackle on the goalline was just pathetic.
The 2006 draft will be very deep with good O-Lineman. Here is a list I got from www.houstonprofootball.com. The best ones are Ferguson, McNeil, Justice, Scott, and Winston. The Texans better get at least one. OT Daryn Colledge, Boise State D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia Jami Hightower, Texas A&M Winston Justice, USC Travis Leffew, Louisville Marcus McNeill, Auburn Jonathan Scott, Texas Adam Stenavich, Michigan Jeremy Trueblood, Boston College Andrew Whitworth, LSU Eric Winston, Miami OG/C Mike Degory, Florida Greg Eslinger, Minnesota Max Jean-Gilles, Georgia Davin Joseph, Oklahoma Matt Lentz, Michigan Tyler McMeans, Miami (Fl) Derek Morris, North Carolina St. Donovan Raiola, Wisconsin
They need to revamp the whole f'n line. They can't let Carr sit the pocket for more than 1 damn second. And why the hell do we still have Gaffney on this roster? Are we going to use him or let him sit on his money?
