Just throwing it out there. This guy wasn't even charged with anything. 2-4 would have been enough.

    Podcast

Here's an interview with Bill Defabio (Pittsburgh media) I heard on 4/13 on Sportsradio 610. Pretty much negative talk on Ben as a person.

    - Gave shots of Alcohol to minors.
    - Was highly intoxicated.
    - Not Media friendly. Not easy to talk to.
    - Alleged victim went to the Bathroom and he followed her into the bathroom.
    - Everything the DA said to the Steeler's front office about Ben basically made everyone want to puke, including Rooney.
    -Walks around with bodyguards??
-Building an 8 foot fence around his house. Has a lot of security cameras as well.
-Couple of restaurants don't want to see Big Ben as he has skipped out on a couple of bills. (more than 2 or 3 times)
    - Vibe around town is to get rid of him.

Probably already talked about in this thread, but oh well.

The 8th pick probably wouldn't be that bad since they'd likely botch the pick anyways, but throwing in Nnamdi would make it ridiculous.

6 is a lot but don't forget that this was the 2nd rape allegation against him in the last couple years.

Asomugha won't be a Raider past 2012 anyway, He's already making QB money until then, and they won't be able to franchise him again.

Ideally, they need to move him.

It would be a good deal for both sides, Nnamdi goes to a better football club, The Raiders acquire a QB they need to run their offense.

I have reservations about Ben though, I think what he's being accused of doing is pretty disgusting for not only an NFL player, but for a human being.

No denying he has talent, and is a gritty old school QB who takes a lot of hits and makes clutch throws. I love the guy as a football player, I think he's tough as nails, and as a football player I'd welcome him in a heartbeat, but I really can't get behind him after these incidents from his personal life have come to light.

Local media always love killing guys that weren't buddy buddy to them in the locker room. Not that it matters at all to anyone but them. Not sure what bodyguards or the fence around his house has to do with anything - if you were a player of his caliber, you'd find the need for them too.

That said, I consider Roethlisberger to be scum. And sadly, I think more pros pull the crap he did than anyone suspects.

Donny, I think you're being a bit naive here.

Ok, he hasn't been officially convicted of a crime, neither was OJ (until later).

But, this isn't the first time he's been accused of sexual assault.

There is no denying from the reports filed and the shady shenanigans involving police resignations, etc., that he's gotten himself into quite a mess.

If he followed a drunk 20 year old girl into a bathroom and forced himself on her, then he is by definition... a thug.

Roethlisberger's reputation is in the gutter now, it will be his job to clean it out of there, and it will take a lot of time.

Just following the law. Comparing this to OJ is a leeeeeeeeeeettle out there. (don't really think I need to explain why)

He's dumber than dirt and a jackass/slimeball for sure.

But I'm not throwing around the rape word 'til that gets proven in court.

Big Ben is good to great QB and will definitely help the Raiders. However, I thing the stingy defense of the Steelers cover up alot of his mistakes.

Not comparing this to the OJ trial specifically, that was a whole different mess on a much larger scale. Just showing precedent. He lost the civil suit as well.

The report alleged what was done, but ultimately that girl is not going to have her life ruined more than it already is by testifying, she'd be crucified by the Defense, she was underage and extremely intoxicated.

I'd tend to be a little more lenient if this was the first time he'd be accused of sexual assault, but this is the 2nd time. That shows a history of not learning from past mistakes, and sadly... no remorse.

on the first part...not only that, i wonder how much she actually remembers? She may not even be able to present a solid case because she was so wasted.

Second part, the fact that this isnt the first time is the real kicker. A one time thing you can right off as a money grab and when there is a repeated occurrance it is another story. Also, how big of a moron does he have to be to put himself in this situation after the first case.
