Looks like Amazon is matching random steam sale prices with a summer sale of their own. For those games you can buy it from amazon and receive a steam code to use, might be handy if you have some amazon credit sitting around.

Amazon also has a one time use code for 15% off:

Digital Games Summer Sale - Use Code "Gooncave" and Save an Additional 15%

For anyone new to Steam sales:

    1. Use the "Enhanced Steam" extension (http://www.enhancedsteam.com/) when using a browser (Chrome/Mozilla/Opera). Adds very useful price info to every entry, including lowest historical price on Steam as well as lowest price ever including other retailers. For example, Beyond Good and Evil regularly shows up at $2.50 on GOG.com, so there's no reason to buy at nearly 3x the price. KOTOR also hits $2.50 on the regular.

    2. If it's a daily deal/flash deal, that's going to be the lowest price during the sale period. For example, the Skyrim Legendary Edition was a flash sale at 40% off earlier today, it's now reverted to 25% off. The 4 big discount levels are 25%, 50%, 66% and 75%. Valve has a metric crapload of people's purchasing habits based on the level of discount and whether it's a featured deal (up to 60x sales in some cases: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/...w_deep_discounts_really_affect_your_games.php).

    3. Therefore, if you see a game you want that is NOT a daily deal but IS discounted, ie: Civ V Gold, Far Cry 3, Metro: Last Light, etc., it's best to wait until it shows up as a daily deal before purchasing. There is a very good chance that the discount will jump up a level or two when it's a featured deal. If it doesn't show up, you'll still be able to buy on the last day, since the discounts on non-featured items remain persistent throughout the sale.

    4. If you miss a flash/daily deal, don't worry. Historically, Steam will repeat the flash sales, and even the ones that don't win the fan vote will be posted at some point. Additionally, the last day of the sale is usually an encore day, with all of the best deals from the past 10 days reposted for one last go-around.

If anyone wants to do some trading of cards to craft badges, add me on steam: mana30.

    Happy hunting!

When I first started working, I loved Steam sales (finally got money to buy what I want).

Now it's just a reminder how little I game these days when most games I try to buy were already bought and never installed.

Man I'm almost breaking by $50 mark. I only have $10 left to spend in my steam wallet. Guess I'll have to get more room to buy Skyrim.

Bought Bioshock. Also got MK from GreenManGaming since they had 20% off and was steam activated.

Waiting to see what else my wallet will eat.

    Dark siders 2 $9.99
    COD BO2 $29.99
    GTA IV $4.99

I think I found a few games for my library. Although I am scared to add BO2 with Ghost coming so soon

Those Surgeon Simulator videos on youtube are hilarious. However I think it would get boring if you don't have someone beside you commentating on the horrible job you're doing.

How's GTA 4 on PC? Does the game have multiplayer mods like SA:MP or MTA?

Chivalry is ridiculously fun. It's got a steep learning curve so you might get frustrated, but the sounds, melee battle, and team killing make it so much fun that you want to get better.

I just created a new Steam account to buy the games. My son is getting to the age where he's playing games from my Steam account, which means I can't play. So it's pretty ridiculous when I have 100 games but only one of us can play at a time.
