To really save on gas you should ride a motorcycle, but if you are man enough, the real savings come with a Vespa.....

You should put piss in your gas tank, so when someone comes to steal your gas- they will get a mouthful of piss instead.

i drive a hybrid SUV. get about 30 miles per gallon local. the best efficiency is when it's really crowed on the street. plus the $2000 dollars tax return the first year you buy it, it's really worth it now.

That's mostly true. If you do mostly highway driving, just get an economy car. A Corolla will get nearly as good mileage at significantly lower cost.

My friend used to steal gas from his mother's car when we were teenagers. Gas was $1/gallon back then.

it's the 2006 Mercury Mariner. i really like it. i would recommend getting it fully loaded with a huge open roof, 6 speaker 6 cd changer system, DVD navigation system (i haven't used it yet). it monitors your mpg so i can tell how much gas i'm using. leather seats. :D it's pricy though. when i bought it, it was 0% apr for 5 years. so i'm still paying back. after tax and extended warranty, it was over 37K. in 2007, i got all my tax back due to the purchase of the car. but i'm still in debt at the moment. :p

thats because in the 70's it was hard to buy gas even if you were willing to pay high prices.

The main problem then was long lines and rationing. Not high prices.

The news did a story here where thieves are piercing the tank with rebar underneath and leaving it there after the gas is drained out, causing even more damage to the car...

But... the real thieves are the gas companies.
