Really? God could speak from the high heavens and social media would still erupt with racist, sexist, offensive, and crude retorts.

Meh...kid didnt deserve it...but it builds character.

Plus...when they come out with the 20 year anniversary edition of the greatest season of all time...im sure the director will spend several minutes on the amount of hate they get. Theyll highlight Houston build drama where none exists.

Kid's going to have issues, he already does.

When your identity and self-worth starts including the team your root for, and you start flipping off others.

Unless flipping people off has become to mean less these days, I am getting a little older.

Actually the dochier thing is to put more emphasis on a slight to a fan base as unclassy over the incredible amount of misogyny that is getting directed back at her. You know who needs thicker skin - the fans complaining getting so defensive over this which is really not that big of a deal.

I just seen a San Antonio fan flip off a kid in a Memphis jersey. Stay classy.

I just seen a Boston fan flip off a kid in a Atlanta jersey. Stay classy.

    Should I go on

I didn't see her tweet as a post damning all of us in Houston.

    Her tweet:

Just saw a Rockets fan flip off a little kid in a Curry jersey. Not a good representation of Houston. Be classier, people. C’mon."

I don't think that she was on some hit job on Houston as a whole. She saw a jerk acting like a jerk in a jerkish situation and called the jerk on it.

She pointed out that that one jerk was not a good representation of Houston fans. However, that does not excuse the actions of said jerk.

"be classier, people" seems like a common rallying cry covering a lot of people with no specific point other than "be classier." I agree with that. People should act with a bit more class in all aspects of life.

I have done something I never wanted to do in my life. I have analyzed a Tweet for context. This feels like rock bottom.

So in review: don't flip off a kid. Be better, no matter what team you cheer for. They learn from us by our behaviors. If we act responsibly then maybe it is not too late to save some of these kids from a life of cheering for the likes of Utah, Dallas, San Antonio or any of the godforsaken California teams.

And #%^( Twitter. Seriously...#)$^ that whole thing.

This description makes the parents seem powerless. I doubt a Rockets fan flipped off a lost kid. This kid's parents were cool with this?

Disingenuous to say they cheered the injury, but there were def some fans that cheered when he went back to the tunnel the final time
