the floor time for canaan will help him warm up his 3pt shot, which is still too nervous to work most of the time. we could really use a jimmer-range guy.

Hope he sits until healthy. We don't really lose much if Lin starts. Need him healthy for playoffs.

Yes but an x-ray can't rule out damage to ligaments. It's more for bones.

But usually they report the x-ray is negative first blah blah ... I just hope nothing serious.

Not too much on our man, Pat Beverley yet.

Rockets guard Pat Beverley indicated that he was not concerned that he would have to miss Saturday’s game against the Clippers after sitting out most of Thursday’s with a sprained right knee. He said in the locker room that he intends to play with a sleeve and literally ran out without showing a sign of an injury. He is scheduled for an MRI on Friday to determine the extent of the injury.

“We’ll find out tomorrow,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “It kind of was one of those where he tweaked it and don’t quite know what happened. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow and we’ll see.”

Beverley, however, told teammates that the injury was not serious.

“I asked him if he was all right,” guard Jeremy Lin said. “He said he was OK.”

If Beverley has to miss any time, rookie Isaiah Canaan would become the backup point guard, the first time he has had to fill that role since the trade deadline deal that sent Aaron Brooks to Denver, elevating Canaan.

“He’s going to have to grow up a little bit,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said of the possibility that Canaan might have to step into the backup job. “But I guess he’ll get that chance.”

at this point in the season we need our players fully rested.

i'd love to see pat go full throttle against CP3, you know he wouldn't bring anything less, but the long term goal is what's important.

Rather him rest up a little before playoffs start.

If its not serious id rather he gives it a go against the clippers, if he can't play then he can take a seat. I don't mind if he takes off the following 2 games against Brooklyn and Toronto.
