2nd Among Point Guards in Assist/Turnover Ratio

We had two weaknesses last year: turnovers and FT%

One of our weaknesses became a strength. The other improved by subtraction.

Interesting that none of those stats relate to defense........I guess 50% of the game isn't material enough to be considered???

he better use his midget low center of gravity to his advantage on defense. thats what i do when in pickup games. the think they can beat me cuz they're bigger, but im fast as hell. t hey still beat me but im still fast as hell. cant wait to see if the starting backcourt can play good consistent defense.

So, people in front of him:

    Westbrook
    Curry
    Irving
    Paul
    Wall
    Lillard
    Lowry
    Conley

He has to jump 3 of those guys for that to be possible. If defense matters, it becomes more difficult, but offensively I think he does it.

Maybe he's better than Conley, Lowry and Irving? Ty actually produces more offensively than Lillard. If you give 2 points for an assist and add them to ppg, Ty produces more points than Lillard. That's pretty surprising.

Paul, Wall, Curry and Westbrook are out of his statistical league though. It's not close.

My big hope is that he'll really open up Howard's game.

We have always had a problem getting our bigs the ball. I can't count how many times Bev or Terry would just not even see a cutting Howard to the rim or looked to hesitant to try the pass.

If Lawson can make Dwight the offensive threat in the paint while playing alongside Harden we will be giving any team major issues

Really impressed by the gif above where takes the lane and throws down in traffic!

I'll be honest and say I didn't know he could even dunk.

Umm... box score stats for defense are pointless for the most part. But if you want something that incorporate everything, ESPN's RPM stat for Lawson of 2 years ago (not the year that included a mutiny against Shaw and all that stuff) had Lawson as the 10th best PG in game impact.

Also, last year the Nuggets were 7.8 points better in point differential with him than without him. Not that good a stat without context, but clearly he made a difference.

He had the ball on his hand most of the time and he got the greenlight from coach to do whatever he wanted. Now he is with the rockets and he wont handle the ball as much and his stats wont look as good, but he will get more open looks tho. Hope he get used to the adjustments soon and get us more Ws.
