[statesman]KEYE plans to split Titans and Texans games

I watched the game at Third Base today! Besides the lack of seating (we got there about 12:10) and slow service (I will say that once the waitress finally got around to our area, she did a really good job of delivering the orders and checking back), it was a lot of fun. The Texans fans were definitely the biggest group there, or at least the loudest.

 

I've never actually been there during football season (I discovered the place this summer), but the layout of the TV's seems perfect for watching whatever game you want and having easy access to all the others. When you got there at 12:10, was there any seating? Did you have to wait, or was it just pretty full?

 

All the tables and the bar were full and we were told that it was standing room only. We found an empty spot over by the pool tables and stayed there throughout the game.

 

Oh, then you were right behind me. I was standing in the right hand entryway to the pool room. I had the Steel Blue Ryans jersey on with the red Texans cap with my son and my Bronco watching buddy. I'll be in the same spot again this Sunday come by and punch me in the shoulder. I'll let you buy me a beer.

 

Yeah, I saw you guys! I came straight from church, so I was wearing gray slacks and a navy blue dress shirt. Unfortunately, I don't live in Austin, so I don't know when I'll watch another game there. I'll probably be in Austin a couple more times this fall for UT games, so there's a chance I'll be back at Third Base before the season is over.

That would be nice, and what CBS has programmed, problem is that KEYE chooses to show an alternate feed. Trust me, it looked the same way last week too.
