d.c. ranked two. black concentration 50%, its chocolate city

anyway these rankings are always stupid, its like houston is never anywhere near the fattest city, its all based on a bunch of metrics like concentration of restuarants

your attempt to turn this racial misses the point. if these figures are accurate, i would bet that obecity has more correlation to income than race. mississippi and alabama are also probably the poorest states in the nation.

texas is always an outlier because even though a wealthy state it has poor income distribution

I always wondered why people will tell other people to quit smoking because it is bad for your health, but people don't walk up to others and say "stop being fat, it's bad for your health"

I suppose it's because people don't want second hand smoke but other fatties don't affect you

I would bet there are a lot more fatties than smokers.

This skew probably has more to do with health care, poverty, and education than race. I think you'll find southern states rate more poorly in all of those categories.

Lol, ummm....I don't think you got my point. I wasn't claiming that these girls were disgusting, or gross, or anything like that. I was just saying that it's a very noticeable trend.

Did you read the article? This is not based on any metric like number of restaurants, it's based on body mass index.

Also, they explicitly mention the correlations with education and income. One-third of high school dropouts are obese, but only one-fifth of college graduates are.
