I don't think this about VY. its about Tinman. So easily I change the tone of the setting Achilleus, like Maxwell did against the Suns. What do you want? a VY bashing? go ahead.. It's not going to change the Texans record. Not ONE BIT. when VY sucks you can bash him, when he wins you can pretend it was someone else. I can't bash the Texans? it not my job. I think the Chargers did a great job of that for me.
Yeah he did get injured...I guess that means the crappy game he was playing before that moment (that was hurting the team) doesn't matter.
Well of course, if the other team gift-wraps a stupid, stupid, stupid defensive call like that. VY's passing is average at best. Lock up his running and you've neutralized much of his game. To be fair, however, the poorer receivers he has this year makes it easier to key in on his running. They'll either a) fail to get open or b) drop the ball if VY can actually get it to them. The Titans are winning based on the merits of their running game and defense. Kudos to Jeff Fisher.
The way they've played the last 6 weeks, bashing is all they merit. My favorite baseball and football teams suck hard.
I guess in hindsight, the Texans were just trying to build up their D with MW. They probably viewed it as there were no #1 worthy QB's (at this stage that appears to be correct) and they couldn't get a contract with Bush figured out. I'm at a loss as to what the Texans need to do. So many wholes on D, offensive line w/o McKinney and Spencer has some serious holes, and we don't have a consistant RB (injuries are what concerned alot of us about an aging Green when we signed him).
i personally think Achilleus, that its not Vince Young that's bothering you. the real anger is that you've been living with fact the Rockets got beat in Toyota Center by the Jazz in a Titanic fashion. The Texans sucking is just adding more fuel to the fire. So when the last bit of redemption you have is "VY is not playing well" then you know that NBA season needs to come soon or you'll turn into the Geico Caveman. VINCE YOUNG DIDN'T INVENT THE WHEEL!!
VY is a worse passer than Schaub and Rosenfels. what exactly could he do to improve the Texans? This whole season has gone down the toilet b/c of injuries.
Call me dense but just what does bickering over Vince Young have to do with the state of the 2007 Texans? How does this excuse Schaub for throwing 2 godawful INTs yesterday before getting clocked and how does it excuse the defense for yet another uninspired effort? And since we're rationalizing everything, where are all of the "Reggie Bush is a bust" posts?
OK. You're dense. Absolutely nothing. But it comes up, and it will continue to for a long time. Call me guilty for jumping in; I just like to talk about football. It doesn't. Who said it does? All I've ever seen is posts like this claiming people said that. If you're going to build a strawman, at least building an attractive strawman. We? Just because you misunderstand someone's motive for posting doesn't mean it's accurate to project anyone's "rationalization" on any poster, much less *all* of us! Reggie is a BUST. Actually, Reggie has pleasantly surprised me of late. Running more between the tackles, and he had a very impressive TD a couple weeks back where he not only absorbed a couple of hits but took a couple DBs into the end zone with him. Kudos to Reggie; that was verrah nice indeed. And btw, I was kidding; you're not dense.
That reminds of one more response to Hillboy's post. Concerning the rationalizing or arguing about VY or calling RB a "bust": Hillboy, the only team/player that makes me feel better when they suck is the Cowboys!
