State Dept.: No Free Evacuations for Dead Americans, Either

Just saw it scrolling by on CNN a little while ago.

 

you know, we pay the military's salary as Americans. They have no right to extort payment from us after we own everything of theirs. It's time to sue the United State Defense and State Department.

 

i wonder how much canada is charging.

and what about the dreadful french?

 

I don't. I wonder how everything came from the earth.

 

Who said they were going to be free? They're already paid for with our tax money. If they must, may be they can cut back a couple of million dollars from our aid package to the Israelis and use it to help pay for the evacuation..

 

That'll happen when the technology exists to extract half a gallon of crude from their cold dead bodies.

 

A know you're being sarcastic, but really, getting Americans out of situations like this, situations not of their making, with their lives in danger, is exactly why we have a military and an Executive branch to order that their safety to be insured, that they be taken out of harm's way. This legislation was signed into law by George W. Bush, in a bill from the Republican dominated Congress. Is there no limit to their collective incompetence? Americans weren't previously required to pay to be rescued by their own government, not in a situation like this.

Canada does not charge anything. They are evacuating them to Greece on a cruise ship... and then flying them back home. That’s the way it should be; its ridiculous to charge people in these circumstances.

 

They said on TV that we are evacuating people on a cruise ship for free...

 

actually i'm not sure if it's a cruise ship.. but some type of ship.. if I heard them right on tv they said fees had been waived...
