My GF and I felt the same way.

What a way...I mean, why couldn't it have been in a gladiator fight!!! Not like that!!!

My wife was furious. I was impressed. (I never really liked "Ritchie")

The show continues to surprise me with how good it can be.

I love this show, its something to hold me over until True Blood comes back. Last night's episode was messed up. I had a feeling Varro was gonna die, but I never saw him going out like that. Thats what makes a good show though, when it catches you off guard. The second season has been delayed due to Andy Whitfield's (Spartacus) trying to beat Cancer, I hope he recovers.

    +1

Maybe I had expectations set to high because I read comparisons of it to Rome. It's nowhere close to half as good as Rome.

I was pretty surprised by the endings of the last two episodes, didn't really think that those writers had it in them. Definitely entertaining. I am trying to get my friends into it but they are all skeptical.

When Varro was like "You're not making a lot of friends" and Spartacus said "I only need one" thats when I knew he was a goner.

Agree to disagree. I like it more than Rome.

I like the first season of Rome as good as any weekly show. My expectations of Spartacus was really was high but unfortunately did not meet my expectations. I think it has gotten progressively better as the season has progressed but its still not really close to being as good as Rome IMO.

This show is very, very different from Rome.

Rome=Wuss-ass drama (I did like it)

    Spartacus B&S= dudes kicking ass.

Friend of mine called it a mix of a lame version of 300 and HBO's Rome. I saw it and I agree.

I think it's a better version of 300 and Rome, personally...
