Damn, just finished watching the 4th episode and it's pretty good. If you liked 300 you'll love this! Anyone else keeping up with it?
I don't have that channel but I watched some of the first episode on casttv.com. It was pretty bad quality, but it looked VERY bloody very much like 300. I am hoping to see it at some point.
I saw the previews and it looked like they were trying to make Rome II. Perhaps I prejudged but I have no desire to watch a Rome knock off.
Okay, that was a little more Gore/sex/profanity than I was expecting, but it was pretty good. Reminded me of a mix of HBO's "Rome" and "300" with a lower budget. I'll probably watch the 2nd episode tomorrow. Then decide if I want to keep going. But it has captured my interest. Thanks to the OP for the suggestion.

This show is Derrick Chievous approved. Extremely explicit and violent. The acting and character development is impressive.
Watched the first three episodes last night via Netfilx streaming. Badass. I'd call it a cross between 300 and Gladiator. The hyper-stylized style makes it almost cartoonish, which isn't a bad thing in this case. There's tons of nudity, gore and sex. The gore is very over-the-top and reminds me of old-school Kung Fu flicks from the 70's. The fighting choreography is pretty well done and fun to watch. Highly recommended if you like action. Hardcore drama fans need not apply. Women will probably enjoy this show too due to the scantily-clad and sometimes naked super-buff dudes walking around.
What kind of swinging?? Like Tarzan of the jungle swinging or a wooden baseball bat being swung?? Details, details, please....
Love the show, dont think its overdone too much, they really trying to make it as accurate as possible.....so the guy crawling was just awesome
