Green Bay was 1 of 2 teams to beat us during the regular season. They had our number. <shrug> It wasn't enough to get them the division crown, so it's essentially...worthless.
When is that ticker tape parade for the division crown? I was in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't see it mentioned. Maybe it will be the same day they have the parade for when the Bulls surpass last year's win total.
I would've loved it if the Pack had won the division, but you can't convince me, or any other football fan, that the Bears were better than the Packers. They beat the Bears <font size=15><b>TWICE OUT OF TWO TIMES</B></font>. Now if that were their only two wins of the year, then sure, you'd have a point, but they didn't.

Where did I say the Bears were better than the Packers???? You're trying to build an argument out of sand. The Bears went 13-3, won the division, produced several All-NFL (aka pro-bowl) football players, and won several awards. And they came out ahead of the Pack in the standings. Thats all I'm saying. Our key players on defense are all young and signed for the longterm. They'll be back. Our All-NFL Wide reciever will be back (you did know that we spent almost the whole season without him, didn't you?) to join Booker who had a breakout season and Terrell who is looking for his. And if the scuttlebutt is true, we'll have a competent, NFL-starter quality QB slinging the ball to them. Oh...and theres that NFL offensive rookie of the year. I think things look very bright, next season and several more after that.
My prof says today "I've had a bad weekend. I went to grad school at UW and am a big Packer fan." He goes on "My favorite player and hero Brett Favre threw six interceptions. And if the Packers won, I'd have worn my cheesehead so you guys missed out". Then I think of this thread and almost, almost bust out laughing. Great reading.

10. The Bears will be much better than 8-8 next year. If Blache stays with the team and they resign Holdman/Harris/Kruetz then they will do quite well. Azumah #23 in the picture will be replacing Harris/Parrish. The Packers potential is maxed out and they still got squashed in the playoffs. Bears are on the upswing big time. Offense can only go up and the D is very young and will only get better. Watch out. Chicago Bears 2002 NFC North Champs.
I actually don't hate the Packers whole team. I really like #4 and I think Freeman and Green are good. I hate the defensive side really. The whole rivalry thing... you understand. The whole donkey thing is sick... fuggeta bout it.
