I abstain until all trades and roster moves have been completed. We have like 20 guys on our roster now. It's very unlikely we'll trim the roster down to 15 based on cuts alone. There has to be a trade or two forthcoming.

Agree, hard to make a roster or rotation call when more moves are expected to come.

I would be happy if MJ got as many shots as Rafer did last year because James would make a higher percentage of those shots and/or get to the FT line more.

Um... how about whoever WINS the job in training camp?

Or are we supposed to just hand it to someone? If that's the case, V-Span is going to be really pissed that he bailed out.

Adelman fully supported the Mike James/Howard trade. Both Morey and Adelman agreed they needed a PG upgrade.

Adelman watched Brooks all last year up in Portland and fully agreed with Morey that he would be a good choice for this team and Adelman's system.

Has that cleared up your confusion?

but james/howard trade almost happened earlier. JVG even made comments about how they needed a guy like james. I think that trade would have happened with or without jvg.

if adelman "agreed with morey" then it was obviously moreys first pick.

    that makes sense now.

Who should be the starting point guard?

The answer is neither of them.

I agree with you, James is a selfish shoot first guard and Alston just isn't good enough!

This is supposed to be educated posters on this fan board.

I simply cannot believe that over half of you think Rafer should be starting.

I'm trying to figure out why he even belongs on the team since we have James and Brooks.

We will never win a championship as long as Rafer is ON THE TEAM

If Mike Frickin James starts, heres whats gonna happen:

    Yao: Pass me the ball!!!
MJ: NO, I'm MIKE JAMES beeotch.
    Tracy: Pass me the ball!
MJ: NO, I was T-Mac back in Toronto, beeotch.
Aldeman: Pass them the frickin ball!
MJ: NO, I WANT ANOTHER TRADE KICKER.

hence, rafer should start and mike james should be a spark off the bench, which is still relatively thin offensive-wise.

And I have no idea why people think Brooks should be considered a starter right now. Lets wait and see.

Neither of this two guys is the best choice. I prefer Francise to them.

Mike James was a shoot first point guard when he had to be in Toronto. He'll be fine and I think he can offer more than Alston.

Francis is better than James who is better than Alston who is better at this stage than Aaron Brooks. However Brooks maybe a darkhorse.

Why you guys want to play catch up game in the first quarter and the third quarter with Rafer starting? Rafer can't guard, can't shoot and can't finish. Just to bring James in for instant scoring? That's Bonzi's job guys.

I wouldn't choose. Coach Adelman will and should make that choice after seeing them battle it out in training camp.
