Starting Pitching injuries

    Cosart is still too close to call in terms of actual MLB production . Hernandez has been the best MLB player so far . Martes looks good but who knows given he is a pitcher .

    The counterfactual scenario is we trade those prospects/players for someone else.

    I think the best way to get pitchers this year will be by trade . Any given year there are lots of pitchers with "big " contracts that are coming off of a down year or injury . I think we can go after those guys for minimal prospect cost . Free agency looks really bad for SP . It's gonna be time for the front office to nut up and try to deliver another Collin mchugh . Unfortunately, the Astros don't have the roster spots nor the waiver position in their favor to try and take on reclamation type projects .
