Wrong year. He's our starting pg in 2011-12. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Jarrett Jack will be the starting PG by the end of the season and playoffs. Jarrett Jack with Will Conroy backing him up. Lowry and Brooks both gone by the trade deadline. Lowry signed and traded before season and Brooks traded sometime before the trade deadline for the rights to Rubio amongst other assets.
Assuming the following things about next season's roster (a couple of which are far from givens): -Morey brings in another elite offensive player -Yao returns to form at some point -Brooks and Lowry are both here after any trades I would start Lowry. He'll defend at an elite level and doesn't need a lot of touches. He'll distribute the ball to Martin, Yao and the new addition, e.g., Bosh. Brooks will come off the bench in a Jason Terry/Jamal Crawford type of role and depending on matchups, could play as much or more than Lowry on certain nights. Some may be concerned that we will lose what Lowry brought to the 2nd unit but if he was our most impactful player last season, there is no reason to believe he will be anything but more impactful getting more minutes. Brooks will just bring a different kind of impact to the second unit in the form of quick points and instant offense.
If Brooks leans to more of the team game on a consistant basis we will be alright! But it is a big 'if' Rubio might be our future PG!
Not many, just a vocal few....many realize that you don't get rid of a 20ppg first year starting PG. DD
That's right! That's why this is the "perfect" time to use him as trade bait for a PG with defensive tools & court vision.
AB should but when we play other elite PG's he gets owned and that worries me but hes our best option at the moment so by default I guess
Aaron Brooks, no question. I'd only see us part with him and other pieces if we were getting someone a kin to Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, Chris Paul or Kevin Durant. Game changers, anything else would be getting pennies on the dollar.
