They traded Jackson and Boki for Wesley just so they could move T-Mac to 3, at least JVg made that statemtent at one point.

Also I seem to remember CD and JVG both at various times syaing T-Mac requested to play SF and stated he never wanted to play Sg again, except for spot minutes and particular assigmments, or matchups or etc.

But that basically he wanted to be the SF from now on.

So apparently the whole issue stems from T-Mac's wishes.

tmac is already an above average rebounder for sf..
if yao can get 10 rebounds next year Tmac with 7 or 8. well be fine with shane at 5..
btw. if bob sura comes back. you know for sure hell get a lot of rebounds!

Perhaps Tmac did it before, but now I doubt it because of his back!

I am not sure Sura could do the same thing as he did 2 years ago. If it happens, I'd rather say that is a miracle, anyway. Therefore, Rox must estimate the possibility of bring V-span to NBA.

Besides, I also think that T-Mac can not play athletically as before because his easily injured back. Then, it would be better for him to play 2 and Battier can play 3 as a excellent outside defender. And then, we need another tough PF to play 4. That is the exact problem now!

One of the best defenders is just taking it a bit too far. McGrady can defend but I don't think he's one of the best defenders in the league.

I'm optimist about McGrady gaurding Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and other quick and explosive two gaurds. McGrady is able to play both position but I think running and trying to stop Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade is only going to be hard on his back. We should let Ryan Bowen take care of them ( :p ). But really it might work. Who knows.

Getting JR Smith would be freaking awesome.

H-townBBall, that's a real good assesment of our line up. I just wanted to add a few names and let me know what you think of them.

    PG: Jay Williams
    SG: Stephen Jackson, JR Smith
PF: Jared Jeffries (maybe a long reach)

While I like the idea of McGrady playing the two because of this length and the obvious mismatches he creates, I think the toll it would take on him defensively over the course of the season is just too high. I could live with a Head/Wesley/Bogans rotation during the season and McGrady playing there in spot duty, then putting him there more full time in the playoffs. Personally, all signs point to Head having a very good season if he gets himself in even better shape and plays with a little more endurance and confidence next year. I don't think he ever becomes a star or even 30 mpg player, but a 10/4 ro 12/3 average over 20-25 mpg is not unreasonable, especially with Yao and McGrady creating shots for him on a regular basis
