sorry peleincubus. hopped off, might be back on later. game irritates me a lot.

 

Once you memorize them, hotkeys beat using the mouse anyday. If you notice in like the semi-pro commentary vids, they all use hotkeys and also bookmark important locations on the map.

I use a combination of both.

lol, that zerg player was horrible...kept wasting minerals on lings that just suicided in ur base instead of getting his econ up and running. surprised he was still able to pump out 5 mutalisks at the end.

1v1 terran vs terran matches for those of you that are interested. not trying to be cocky or anything but, i think i am a pretty good terran player. not the best at macro but i attack at the right times. anyone who wants to play 1v1 with me for fun, just add me.

and yes, i always go 1/1/1 and pump out that cloaked banshee. even if it doesnt work toowell, it rattles the opponent and gives a huge tech advantage over opponent.

 

You're pretty good, I think your main flaw is expanding if you're not being pressured. I made some notes of what I thought of your games above. 1-1-1 is a pretty good intro build most of the time. I think swapping to MTM with Ravens after 1-1-1 is probably one of the most broken and balanced armies in the game until they nerf tanks.

thanks for the critique, not expanding earlier/keeping my econ healthy is definitely one of my flaws that I'm working on, in the meanwhile i try to use my army as efficiently as possible.

although for ur critique of the first game, i dont understand how someone could survive long enough against 1-1-1 to get MMM with ravens . Usually before he can tech that far my tanks and banshees will be tearing him apart. And i spread out my tanks so their MM can't try to ambush my tanks.

 

with the amount of marauders he had he could have easily had it, the fact he lost so much mineral gathering time (something that should never happen) is the main reason he didnt.

 

anyone down for playing? i've officially given up playing online against other players. i'll be in bronze forever, just gonna stick to playing online with friends and such. for some reason the new update messed up my buddy list and all the people are now gone.

Any of you guys paying attention to the GSL in Korea? I'm rooting for "a Fruit Seller" since he's the last remaining Zerg. Those players are stupid good, though. The stuff they pull off sometimes is simply amazing. It's too bad the foreigners IdrA and TheLittleOne couldn't make it to the round of 16. Still, a strong showing for foreigners to get through qualifying and one round in the tourney.

im getting better and better at this game. i cant decide if i want to take the plunge and put in the effort into learning to hotkey buildings so i can make things faster without having my base on screen.

 

You really should. I find hotkey'ing production buildings the best thing EVER! If you're making a push, you can just hit your production building hotkey and set the rally point to wherever you're pushing. While you're attacking, you can queue up more units.

I still haven't quite gotten the knack for also increasing my supply during all of this, but it's comin'...

You can double tap the hotkey for your building, this will immediately move the screen back to your base (this works for any selection, double tapping moves the camera to that the stuff that is hotkeyed). You can probably build your pylon or supply depot during the time your guys are marching towards your opponents' base, and I've found it's not horrible to zoom back even in the middle of a battle if you're fast enough, since it's not Warcraft 3. If you're Zerg, obviously you don't even need to do this to spawn more overlords (but you probably want to do this to get more larva with your queen).
