if u can micro reapers can kite zealots easily. Then its easy to transition to marauders. If u can't i'd just suggest walling ur ramp then killing off his gateway. If he's proxy gating u then theres very small chance that he has the balls to tech to void ray. Most of the time if the proxy fails ur way ahead.

 

Blizzard is very innovative with their strategy games.
The gameplay is extremely convenient and smooth.

Civilization is a turn-based strategy game whereas starcraft and warcraft are real-time strategy games. They are played at a quick pace. With starcraft, there is almost zero down time during a game.

Blizzard games are also very competitive. Starcraft is Korea's football.

Also, the campaigns in both starcraft and warcraft are very entertaining with great storylines.

 

Let me also mention that Blizzard games are VERY addictive once you get the hang of it.

Even if you don't care much for 'ladder' (ranked 1v1, or team matches), there are custom games (Mods) created by Blizzard and other players that are a blast.

I started playing warcraft 3 back in the sixth grade and kept going back to it until this year... 8-9 years later. It was overrun by hacks, so I quit.

Who is rank the highest in 1vs1 here? I'm Platinum ranked 22nd atm. I don't play 1vs1 much though because I find it kind of boring. 2vs2 I'm ranked 1st in silver. I find it hard a lot harder to advance to a higher division compared to 1vs1. Won like 10 games straight against slightly favored opponents while being ranked 1st and still no change.

 

do any of you guys who have pretty decent ranks, not use hotkeys? i swear hotkeying is actually slowing me down, i build faster with just the mouse.

 

then play console games, hotkeys are the fundamentals of PC gaming

Hard to get used to, I still struggle with it (which is I'm peaked at mid platinum and maybe even regressing). I've sat behind a couple of diamond players and yes it helps. Even just getting used to spawning larva and building units with hotkey helps me.

 

ya no question it helps, just saying its been difficult for me. hence it seems i get stuff down faster with just the mouse.

Anyway, I use hotkeys for about 75% of what I do and it does indeed help whether it's building units, structures, or just attacking. Why is it slower for you? Because you have to look down at your keyboard to find the key or something?

 

yea, looking down for sure. it probably doesnt help i dont type "properly" i kind of developed my own way over the years. i actually switched the format of the hotkeys so they're all on the lefthand side of the keyboard, thats helped a bit. im practicing them here and there, hopefully i can get them down soon enough. im playing in bronze league so, im not sure its too big a deal i have them down right now.

 

Try switching to the GRID keyboard layout. It'll also be easier for you to play off-race.
