Friend just called from the galleria location. Said the line is pretty long. closing out to World Market
In and out of Wal-Mart in under 15 minutes (no pre-orders). God I love people who flood to gaming stores (EB Games, Gamestop) and neglect to go to the most general of places. There were about 20 people, tops.
Finally home with my copy. Best Buy at Oak Hill couldn't help but turn what should have been a fun experience, something 12 years in the making, into frustration. I stood over 15 minutes in line at the checkout, only to be told, "You can't buy it here if you pre-ordered, sir, you have to go to customer service." If anyone noticed an older guy in a pale blue Hawaiian shirt and a gray fedora cussing out a couple of bewildered sales people, that was me. So to another line I go, so I could cuss out another bewildered and clueless sales person, who told me she didn't have a clue about a poster. Luckily, I saw them stacked by the door on the way out. A large beautiful Starcraft II poster without any creases. I guess that made the wait worthwhile. Anyway, I'm going to install this puppy and see what happens!
Lolz, I just asked the guy at the door where to go if you preordered and he told me go to Customer Service. Simple enough.
Ahh so nice living in a small ghetto area of South Austin, no one at the Wal-Mart, guess I'm the only one with a PC 'round here.
It's past 1AM and still no tracking number for me. I just hope it does get here tomorrow. Hopefully sometime early.
Played a single player game against the AI and it was a gas. Very much like the old game, except jumped up a lot.
Sweet. Just got my tracking number this morning and it's out for delivery! Now to play the waiting game with UPS.
Nope, scheduled for delivery on Thursday. &%$# you, GameStop online ordering. I guess I was under the false impression that they make an effort for it to arrive on day of release. Maybe I'll just return it Thursday while buying a digital copy via Blizzard today. That'll show 'em.
