Ditto. Great opening trailer. Based on how Disney guided fans all last year into Force Awakens, this is not surprising.
I'm thinking it's Vader kneeling before Palpatine. Those are Palpatine's guards, but Palpatine wouldn't kneel to anyone. And there are rumors that Vader is going to play a part in this movie. Also, notice his theme being played at the very end of the trailer. As much as I liked TFA, this looks more like Star Wars to me. That lady talking at 0:24....she was in ANH, right?

I kind of missed it the first 34 times I watched the trailer this morning. I noticed it on the 35th viewing.
Holy CRAP that was good. That gave me freaking goosebumps. It was nice of them to clone Sarah Michelle Gellar for this movie. Is that guy in the white cloak supposed to be the emperor? Or Gran Moff Tarkin? He looks very much like the actor that played Grand Moff Tarkin in the A New Hope. "I'm a rebel. I rebel." is great line. Hopefully this movie showcases that you don't need to have all the iconic characters from the original movies (Han, Luke, Lei, Chewie, etc) in order to make a really GREAT Star Wars movie. The universe is so rich and interesting. Let the universe be your marketing tool and concentrate the rest of your efforts on telling a good story in an interesting way. The rest will take care of itself. This just jumped up to my #1 most anticipated movie of the year for me.
This. Like...it's shocking to go back and watch the trailers for the prequels. It's amazing that I ever got excited about those back in the day because the trailers were so completely out of touch with the FEEL of Star Wars.
