If you're like everyone else who played the original Knights of the Old Republic, the sequel was a huge letdown due to being rushed to the shelves for the 2005 holiday season. Lots of content was cut out, and it was obvious. An open beta mod that restores a lot of this cut content was recently released. I'm going to dust of my old PC copy and give it a try. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/...tm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss
was it..? I remember enjoying it all the way through.. it was just as captivating as the first.. though not as engaging with it's story..
I thought it was good too, but much shorter than the first game. The first KOTOR took me over 50 hrs to complete, while the second took me about 30. The gameplay was exactly the same except your decisions had an influence on your teammates and I'd rather have a "bond" with a younger, more attractive female than an old witch.
The awesomeness that is HK-47 is part of the content that was cut. There was supposed to be a world where all his clones were. It's like the developers completely ran out of time and just cut out a bunch of stuff to rush to the end of the game. I can barely remember what else was missing. Probably some more fleshing out of all the main character's followers. Hopefully I can waste a weekend on this sometime soon.
